Our time in Cornwall with Chris was a very nice experience. We had a change of plans with our dates, and Chris kindly accepted to host us earlier than expected, which we really appreciated. During our stay, we mainly helped with gardening, cleaning the cottage house, painting, and some simple repairs. We also had the chance to try some British dishes (fish and chips and Cornish pasty) and to cook for all, sharing dinners and good conversations. Chris is a very friendly and open-minded person, and we also had the pleasure of meeting his children, Georgia and Bobby, who are really creative and kind. The region around Bude is very beautiful, and we had bicycles to explore it even more. Thank you, Chris, for hosting us!

We apologize for the delay in writing this review. It was our first volunteering experience and our time with Nicky was a good mix of work, learning and sharing. We helped prepare her large garden for winter: pruning plants, cutting branches, planting some flowers, cleaning some lands and removing weeds. Other tasks was creating a stone path and learning how to cut firewood with Mimi, Nicky’s partner. We spent a lot of time with him in the last weeks and enjoyed many nice conversations, specially about music. Nicky knows a lot about history. We had many good conversations with her during dinners, played games together and visited local markets. She is also a great cook and did many delicious dishes, which we really enjoyed. On our last night, we went with Mimi to a rock concert, which was a lot of fun and very special for us. Thank you Nicky and Mimi for this experience.

I spent 2 beautiful weeks at Laura and Rolf's property in July 2025. Them and their family were incredibly welcoming and generous, allowing me to explore the area and join in on family fun. Their dogs are the best little pack, especially Cona, and I hope to see them again some day!

Laura es una persona muy agradable y tranquila. Aprende rápido, es súper puntual y siempre está dispuesta a dar lo mejor de sí. Tiene una risa contagiosa, me divertí mucho compartiendo estas semanas con ella. Super recomendada para recibir en todo tipo de proyectos.

K,hay es la chica más dulce que he conocido . Tiene una elegancia espiritual que me logro sorprender ..A logrado dominar un poco los demonios que todos llevamos .. lista siempre a ayudar siempre presente con un amor infinito por todos los seres . Muy tranquila y alegre .. Todos aportar al espacio desde sus saberes y su saber principal es su bondad es muy bondadosa .

This was a educative and enjoyable stay with Julian and Annabel on their diverse farming operations outside of Ross. There was always plenty of jobs to be done and options to use skills . Annabel and Julian were so generous with their time to ensure we understood what was required and how the work they are doing to regenerate native trees on their farms is so important to the future of farming sustainability in this part of Tasmania. We planted trees, located and identified native trees in pasture lands, guarded and maintained existing trees and worked in the home garden. This is a placement that was rewarding and interesting and the hosts went out of their way to ensure we had the best possible experience. We stayed in the Shearers’ quarters with a shared kitchen and our own bathroom. Lunch and evening meals were with the hosts in their family home and they were excellent and there was also an opportunity to do some cooking as well. Just remember tho, it can be very cold and windy, so take warm clothing. They provided us with extra warm jackets for our paddock work ( greatly appreciated). Thanks so much for this experience.

Daiki is a very polite young man. He's English is improving day by day. He tries very hard and studies every day. Daiki helped us with lots of gardening and cleaning. We wish him all the best in his adventures in Australia.

We spent two wonderful weeks at the Hacienda and the most important thing first: you should come here as well - under any circumstance!! The day at the Hacienda is well structured (prepare food, clean the places,...) and there is of course also work to do. However it was never overwhelming (rather very fun) and there is enough time to chill, go on trips (Luis offers a great selection) and of course meeting all of the other wonderful volunteers and the dogs!! You should definitely bring: 1. clothes that can get dirty 2. good shoes 3. open mind and a bit of resilience (there will be one shower during your trip, that is not nice and hot and there will be food, that may not satisfy all your cravings - and that's part of the amazing experience) Thank you Luis for this once in a lifetime experience 🐾

I had the absolute pleasure of spending three weeks at the institute, and it was an incredible experience!! It was so much fun working with students of all ages and levels, and everyone was so welcoming and kind. For me as a teacher, the highlight of the experience was definitely working with the local schools. Also, the accommodation in the apartment above the school was very comfortable. I can’t thank Eduin enough for this amazing opportunity. It was truly rewarding, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful teaching and cultural exchange experience!!

I only stayed with Sterling for a couple of days over the weekend whilst I was in Vancouver but I had a wonderful time. We worked for a couple of hours each morning on the Mac and iPhone, showing him a few things, and the rest of the day was to myself. Me and Sterling shared a good laugh and plenty of stories during our time. Sterling is a very kind and funny man, and I definitely recommend anybody that has the chance to stay here. The house is located right near the seabus and in a great part of north van. The room I was staying in was quiet and private, and everything was very clean.

I stayed with Michael for about 3 weeks out in Lake Errock and it was great. The work was flexible, and I mostly cooked our meals plus did some cleaning and outdoor work. I was trusted to work independently, and Michael was accommodating with any requests. We shared good meals together and good laughs. Lake Errock itself is very beautiful and remote, and can be explored on Michael's e-bike, which was a great activity on sunny days. Michael generally travels into Vancouver on weekends so I grabbed a lift in with him a few times which was convinient. Overall a good time.

There were some logistics since they came, while I was already away, handled via my neighbor, and their communication, Care, and responsiveness was excellent . I returned, and everything was well taken care of. They are very pleasant.

I spent three weeks in this beautiful, nature-filled place. It was my very first Workaway, but I couldn't have enjoyed it more! Everyone is all kind and full of solidarity. Since lunch is always eaten together, I recommend taking the chance to talk with lots of them. The main tasks are harvesting, cooking, and cleaning (the apple harvest in September is really fun!). All the work is simple and not difficult. In the days off, you can explore the nearby town by bike or walk around the abbey surrounded by nature. Also, since this place constantly welcomes 5-6 Workawayers, I was able to enjoy weekends with them. Above all, I can truly recommend this place to everyone, even for first-time Workawayers. As for me, I already miss the abbey deeply! To all the brothers and sisters, thank you so much. I hope I can return one day :)

Thank you both so much for such a wonderful stay. This was my very first Workaway experience, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better one! From the very beginning, you made me feel safe, cared for, and completely at home. I loved having the chance to slow down, find some peace, and simply enjoy being in the countryside. Most of my time was spent working in the garden and painting the fence, which was both fun and rewarding. Beyond the work, I really treasured the conversations we shared. Mandy and Philippe, you’re such amazing company, full of warmth and great stories. Thank you for all the little (and big!) things — giving me a ride to the train station so I could explore Setúbal, helping me with laundry, and hosting such a lovely lunch that I was so happy to be part of. I even got to meet your neighbor Axel and ended up staying with him for a bit and helping him with his wine-making! And of course, my daily visits to the donkeys down the road brought me so much joy. Your cooking, Mandy, is absolutely incredible Every meal was delicious and made with such care. I’m deeply grateful for your kindness and generosity, and I truly hope to visit again soon. Sending you both the biggest hugs — I miss you already! Thank you for everything. 💛

Andrea is enthusiastic and capable. When we got a little lost not far from home, she found a route back to our village along tracks we didn't know. She joined in with the work we did during her visit, outdoor painting and building stone steps. She was an enthusiastic forager, collecting wild figs by the local river.

Merci, Brigitte! It was great to spend time with such a warm and welcoming host and to meet your lovely family and friends. I enjoyed my week at the houses in Roquebrune Cap Martin and Bourgogne, spending time outdoors, gathering fruit and gardening with other Workawayers. Thanks for the lovely meals, conversation and, of course, the introduction to Rummykub and Cabo!

Laurence & Olivier are FABULOUS!!! My time with them was so special. The home is beautiful, clean and comfortable. They are genuinely kind people and they loved to share their history and beautiful country with me. I will definitely return🪷. Thank you from my Soul🙏🏼🌺!!

Azul Fellawne Molly, Molly stayed with our family for one week. While she was here she helped with everything I asked her too more. She made good social media content and worked on my booking platforms. She was a hard working and respectful volunteer and got along well with my family. She is very adaptable and skilled with technology. I can recommend her without hesitation to another host. I hope to see you again All the best in your life. Tanmmirt 🙏

Rachel; she is a class act! Out on her own for all sorts of positivity, fun not being the least. As a worker , could not do enough to make my life easier in all sorts of small ways.Tho she was a bit tardy at arriving , the wait was worth it all. Totally immersed in Irish culture ,she even had such a grasp of the Gaeilge, dochreidte, unbelievable,. She just fitted in! Lovely Person and deeply political ,like myself!! So much so that she returns in a couple weeks on her next break to eat some harvest she helped to grow, Agus leabhair níos mó Gaeilge Fáilte Romhat ar ais, a Rachel (le Molly!)
