Beschreibung
Hello! My name is Chhime Sherpa. I'm based in Khamje, a quaint village in the Solukhumbu region of Nepal. Having lived in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Netherlands, and Switzerland in the past decade, I have decided to move into the homestead my grandmother used to live in before she passed away in 2024. My grandmother loved having guests and exchanging stories and laughter. My hope is that everything she worked so hard to create continues to thrive. Please reach out to us about workaway requests through workaway only :D

Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten
We love to create a warm and inclusive space where volunteers feel at home, whether we're sharing traditional sherpa meals around the table, mingling at local events, or just spending evenings by the fire. Meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds brings us new ideas and perspectives. We can’t wait to hear about your experiences, traditions, and hope that we can learn from each other.

Arbeit
Activities to do here also really depend on the time and season. There's farming work (potatoes, wheat, fruits, vegetables...), construction, painting, renovation help for the house... healthcare related projects from time to time... If you’d like to contribute in other ways, we are interested to hear from you as well.
