We are a couple of enterprising nature lovers and to be able to live in the middle of nature we gave life to our astro camp located in the Bosque Fray Jorge World Biosphere Reserve, a very special place since the southern forests begin here of Chile, very close to the driest desert in the world. And you will wonder how that forest survives in the desert? It achieves this thanks to the humidity of the coastal fog (Camanchaca) INCREDIBLE!
In addition, this entire sector is part of the only Starlight reserve in South America where the darkness of the skies is protected and preserved (bortle sky quality 1 to 3 (look for it)), it is for this reason that within our services we offer our Guests visitors an astronomical experience that consists of a talk and subsequent telescope observation, which aims to raise awareness and understand how valuable it means to live.
Somos una pareja de emprendedores amantes de la naturaleza y para poder vivir en medio de la naturaleza le dimos vida a este astro camping ubicado en la Reserva Mundial de la Biosfera Bosque Fray Jorge, un lugar muy especial ya que aquí comienzan los bosques del sur de Chile, muy cerca del desierto mas arido del mundo. y te preguntaras ¿como sobrevive ese bosque en el desierto ? Lo consigue gracias a humedad de la niebla costera (Camanchaca) INCREIBLE!.
Además todo este sector es parte de la única reserva Starlight de Sudamerica en donde se protege y conserva la oscuridad de los cielos ( calidad de cielo bortle 1 a 3 (buscalo)), es por esta razón que dentro de nuestros servicios ofrecemos a nuestros Huespedes visitantes una experiencia astronómica que consiste en una charla y posterior observación por telescopio, la cual tiene como fin generar conciencia y comprender lo valioso que significa vivir.

We are located within a global biosphere reserve with skies free of light pollution. located in an old agricultural community, a treasure culturally speaking since they only occur in certain places in Chile and where many as a consequence of progress have reached their dissolution. Here people are sensitive and aware of the environment that surrounds them. Respectful of biodiversity. Always committed to living in balance and harmony with nature (only 30 people live here all year round).
The main livelihood in this area is livestock grazing, agriculture, and ecotourism. So does the processing of seaweed from the coast.
Estamos ubicados dentro de una reserva mundial de la biosfera con cielos sin contaminación lumínica. localizados en una antigua comunidad agrícola, un tesoro culturalmente hablando ya que solo se dan en ciertos lugares de Chile y donde muchas como consecuencia del progreso han llegado a su disolución, Aquí la gente es sensible y consiente con el medio ambiente que lo rodea. Respetuosa con la biodiversidad. Siempre empeñados en vivir en equilibrio y armonía con la naturaleza ( solo vivimos 30 personas todo el año aqui).
El mayor sustento en esta área es el pastoreo de ganado, la agricultura, el Ecoturismo. Así también el procesamiento de algas provenientes de la costa.

Accommodation is in a tent. If you don't have a tent we can lend one, as well as bedding.
