  OUR FAMILY
  
  We are a family of three: Gabriel (36 years old, Spanish), Nancy (36 years old, Italian), and Éinar (22 months, Asturian). We all speak Italian, Spanish, and English fluently.
  
  LOCATION
  
  We live in a village between the sea and the mountains in Asturias, in the municipality of Piloña. We have several things going on here. Our home is not only the place where we live but also where we work. In fact, we run a small organic farm .
  
  THE HOUSE
  
  Our house is detached, and surrounded by near 3 hectares of our own land and and yet it's not isolated.
  We have electricity, water, and internet signal (we don't have Wi-Fi at home, but the mobile data works quite alright). We are nestled in a wonderful natural landscape made of woodland and meadows. The icing on the cake, however, is the view of the Picos de Europa, the most famous mountain range in northern Spain.

  ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  
  We are looking for someone who is extremely responsible, empathetic, transparent, and respectful with our child.
  
  If the volunteer has passions or skills of his/her own, we would be delighted to learn something from him/her. Any musician, artist, creative person is more than welcome in our home!
  
  From our side, we can teach you everything we know about organic farming, You're more than welcome to take part in all our projects in the farm if you are interested in. Besides, we are renovating different buildings in our property and Gabriel can teach you the world about carpentry and construction.
  
  Nancy has a sound passion for nature and birds so she'll enjoy doing some birdwatching with you if you'd like it. Photography is a hobby that comes along with her passion for nature although she can't call herself a proper photographer!
  
  Furthermore, we all are kind of sportive people in the family, so we can give you some advice about nearby running/ MTB's routes.

  Arbeit

  WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  
  We are looking for a volunteer to look after our child Éinar, when we are unable to do so.
  
  The task is SOLELY to take care of Éinar, play with him, listen and attend to his needs, and do fun and constructive activities together.
  
  The volunteer will NEVER be asked to take care of household chores such as cleaning, laundry, etc.
  
  We are looking for a NATIVE English speaker or someone with a native level because we would like the volunteer to be speaking in English with the child at all times.
  
  Nancy works online in the afternoon. She works from home, so she will always be nearby in case of an emergency.
  
  
  FOR COUPLES
  While one of you will be looking after Éinar, the other one is expected to help out with some projects like building fences or mowing and raking. We normally have some building projects we would like to do, so would welcome anyone with DIY skills. A can-do attitude is a must.
  
  
  WORKING HOURS
  The volunteer/s will be expected to work between 3 and 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, Monday to Friday.
  The "babysitting" volunteer is going to work 3 hours in the afternoon and, occasionally, he/she may be asked to help out for an hour or two in the morning.
  His/her partner won't have a fixed schedule but he/she will never be expected to work more than 3/4 hours per day.
  
  ABOUT ÉINAR
  
  Éinar is a 22-month-old boy who is very independent, active, curious, cheerful, sociable, and affectionate.
  
  He is being educated in three different languages ​​(English, Italian, and Spanish), so he is developing trilingual language skills. He is already capable of understand the most of our conversations in all the 3 languages.
  
  He has an extreme passion for everything physical (cycling, dancing, running, etc.), as well as
  music, animals, and nature. We are sure you will have a great time together! He really is a fun guy!

  The volunteer will be expected to communicate in English when he/she is alone with Éinar. Rather than that, there's no restriction at all regarding the language he/she would prefer to speak with us.

  Unterkunft

  ACCOMMODATION
  
  The volunteer/s will be accommodated in a private small studio apartment attached to our house. It is a cozy cabin equipped with a sofa bed for two, a kitchenette and a private bathroom.
  There's an electric heater if needed.
  
  FOOD
  
  Since we are requiring volunteers to work fewer hours than the Work Away program suggests, we expect them to provide for their own grocery shopping and food preparation.
  
  Of course, we will drive the volunteer to the nearest supermarket in order to do his/her shopping if needed.
  However, the volunteer/s will have to pay for their own food.
  
  There will be various occasions where we will enjoy a meal together, or a BBQ...but we expect
  the volunteer/s to be self-sufficient in preparing his/her own daily meals.

  TRIAL PERIOD
  
  Looking after Éinar is a job of responsibility, as we entrust our most precious creature to your care.
  
  For this reason, we mean to spend at least two full days together to let you and Éinar adjust to each other.
  
  This time will come also as an opportunity for you to make all the questions you want and and for us to explain anything you need in order to feel comfortable here.
  
  CAR?
  
  If you have a car, you are welcome to drive here as there is space to park your vehicle in our property.
  
  If you don't have a car, we will do our best to provide everything you need including picking you up and dropping you off at the airport.
  
  
  ANIMALS?
  
  Pets are not allowed. We have a dog (border collie), a cat, four sheep, and four chickens, and we cannot allow any other animals in our property.
  
  All our animals are friendly and sociable with humans, but not so much with other animals.
  
  
  FREE TIME
  
  Where we live, the public transport is not as reliable as it would be in a city but there are options for those who would like to do a bit of exploring.
  
  Besides, there are taxis running every day and the trainline that connects to the main cities (Oviedo and Gijón, 1h distance aprox) is 20 minutes from our home.
  
  The nearest beach is in Ribadesella, 27 km.
  
  As we said before, there will be occasions to spend some leisure time together but we expect you to be willing to be independent and proactive in this regard.
  
  Note that there are other Workaway projects nearby, so you'll have the opportunity to get together with other volunteers if you like.
  
  That being said, we can't wait to meet our future babysitter, who will undoubtedly become much more than this for us!

  Both in our home and in the volunteer's accomodation there's the possibility to use the mobile data as a connection. It works just fine for us and our online job (videocalling and streaming). Please notice that there isn't WIFI.
