  Hello (kia ora)
  We (John and Cher) live in a open sunny modern home at Cable Bay, near Nelson. We live on the edge of a tidal estuary, and it is a short walk to the swimming beach. We have kayaking, walking tracks, mountain biking, fishing and snorkelling close by. It is a 25-minute drive to the closest town Nelson. The nearest shop is 10-minute drive away or 30 minutes by bike. We can pick you up from Nelson or the airport
  The work you would be doing includes home gardening, weeding, odd jobs around our half acre section and organic garden, and home maintenance.
  The accommodation is a large, comfortable, sleep out with a queen bed. The work outside is mostly gardening and weeding, although if possible, we try to give you a range of task. You will ned a medium level of fitness for the 4 hours work each day. on rainy days you may be doing housework, cooking and a range of indoor tasks. The hours are flexible and you can take time off by accumulating your hours.
  We like our helpers to stay minimum of a week preferably longer. We can only take single volunteers. Before we reply to your email request, we will be looking on your profile for the feedback from your previous host, so please ensure they have posted something on your profile. If you are new to workaway then we will ask you to send a reference to our email address.
  if you have any cold of flu symptoms, we appreciate it if you don't come.

  You will get to experience living in a small close community at Cable Bay Nelson NZ, with neighbours dropping in regularly, and our family staying occasionally.

  Arbeit

  At the moment we also need help with weeding, clearing, mulching plants, window washing, clearing paths from weeds. Some skills in building would be great. Even though John is home, we prefer experienced helpers who enjoy helping unsupervised on their own during the week.

  A comfortable sleep out, with a queen-sized bed. We all share the shower and the kitchen. We will provide gorgeous meals mostly from our garden.

  Was noch ...

  There is no public transport from cable bay, however we can pick you up and drop you off in Nelson. We are close to 4 National Parks, and 10 minute walk to a beach and a walkway. we drive to Nelson a few times per week and so you can get a lift with us if you wantot spend time in the city . You will enjoy a gorgeous environment, close to a pristine swimmig beach, and estuary with access to Canadian canoe, sit on kayaks or take the mountain bike to explore local tracks.
