We spent two weeks with Alva and Duncan. They welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home! They are very kind and always ready to help us if needed. We were with other Workawayers, which was really nice.🙂 As for the work, we helped with collecting and storing hay bales, gardening, housekeeping, and Alexis also did some carpentry work. We loved being surrounded by animals and nature. Among the animals, there are two very friendly dogs , a bit crazy yes, but so cute! We will keep fond memories of our stay, thank you for everything. ❤️

We had a lovely time staying with Lilian and Galip. Their house is charming, and we quickly came to love our time with the dogs every morning and evening. It was a busy time for Lilian and the family so we were left to our own devices much of the time, but everyone at the pottery studio was helpful and friendly. It was great to share their routine and daily life for the short time we had together.

We had a wonderful experience at Daniel and Ora’s home. From our very first contact, they were incredibly welcoming and kind. Daniel is a fantastic person who made us feel at home from the start. He took us to meet his wife’s family and invited us to experience many adventures around Chiang Mai. Together, we spent some time working on his farm and also collaborated on content creation and video editing projects for his YouTube channel. We are truly happy and grateful to have met them and for all the amazing days and experiences we shared. Thank you so much, Daniel and Ora! We wish you all the best and highly recommend this experience to future volunteers =D

It was a very good experience at this place! Agust and the hole family (and Alice) are very kind and respectful. Gulliermo is a very good chef and you will be impressed by his food. The work was various and physical, but I liked it. Also the area and the beach are great. Thanks :)

Having Natsumi and Shobu on our hacienda was a very positive and rewarding experience. They mostly completed gardening and landscaping tasks (cutting down trees :)) They were very respectful, hard-working, eager to learn new things, and committed to the projects they were assigned. They make an awesome team. I was impressed with their Spanish and at how fast they worked together, solved problems, and how they coordinated tasks. Natsumi and Shobu are model volunteers.

A bientôt j'espère !

A charming family who welcomed me into their home for two weeks with so much kindness and care. Victoria and Julz are incredible people, who are raising an absoluty adorable baby (I’m missing his cheeks and jumps so much). They took me everywhere and shared so much of their lives with me, which made my stay unforgettable. Even my work felt enjoyable, seeing how passionate Victoria is about her plants and her food forest. Thanks to them, I met so many lovely people and created beautiful memories. I can never thank them enough for everything they did for me. The stay was short but they already have a place in my heart.

I spent 10 amazing weeks here in Greece volunteering. I volunteered in the children's section which was a fun and rewarding experience. The team are all welcoming and very communicative and the accommodation was comfortable. On your time off you can also visit other places like Sofia, Bulgaria and Thessaloniki. I'd highly recommend volunteering 😌

Marrissa has a very calm, even-tempered disposition which is just what we need. She spent 6 weeks with us and we had lots of good chats and debate. She cooked for us most nights, a great variety of interesting and tasty dishes. Despite plenty of encouragement, Marrissa took very little time off. She worked on her writing every day so she made herself available at all hours of the day. This flexibility was very useful to me, especially if I needed to pop out at short notice. She spent time with our mum, Bríd and was kind to her. Overall we had a good and positive experience and we are happy to recommend Marrissa to other hosts.

What a beautiful place full of wonderful people and animals. We really appreciated the communication. Even before we arrived, we talked about the kind of project planned, so that we could decide if that’s suits us. Daily tasks were feeding the animals, preparing food or cleaning the kitchen after cooking. Make sure to bring a warm rain jacket when going in November ;) Thank you for all of the great food and conversations, Kindest regards, Lena and Tabea :)

I stayed with them for approximately one month, and it was a wonderful experience. They made me feel very welcome and were incredibly kind from the very beginning. Elise is an amazing cook, and they shared so many great Norwegian stories and traditions with me. The kids are super cute and friendly, and we played many board games together. The tasks were clearly explained, and the schedule was fair and well organized. The living conditions were comfortable, and I had my own space to relax. The location is beautiful, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature. I truly enjoyed my time with them and would highly recommend

This was my first workaway experience and I couldn’t ask for anything better. I have to say, it was one of my best decisions ever to come and spend 6 summer weeks here… I remember my cheeks hurting from smiling when I first saw the mountains. That first ride up to the rifugio, heading toward unbelievably beautiful scenery, is a core memory for me. Since the first time that I met Alessandro, Marco, Fedo, Giuly and Susi, I felt so welcomed. They were so friendly, kind and helpful all of the time and with good sense of humor. It was fun to work with them and I felt that my work was much appreciated. Staff members Martina, Lodo, Lucia and Nico were helpful, kind and explained things when needed. It was very nice that all of us were eating lunch and dinner together sitting around one table and sharing our gratitude for delicious food that was made by Marco, Fedo and Susi. I was excited for every single meal and also happy to share dessert recipes and bake together! I have to mention that they have very good music taste and sometimes there was cooking/dancing parties in the kitchen. Hiking in the Dolomites was a dream come true for me and I still can’t get over the beauty that I saw! I am so lucky of this experience this summer and so grateful that Alessandro gave me this opportunity! Alessandro was very caring and always made sure that I am safe whenever I went for hikes. I could keep writing about pizza nights in the town, endless board games, rainy days by fireplace reading books, naps in hammocks etc…all sharing with amazing people but you just have to meet them and experience it yourself! Alessandro, Marco and rest of the team - I wish you all of the luck with the new rifugio and I deeply wish to see you in Pontechianale!❤️

Ada was a wonderful member of the workaway extended international family and a joy to host. Ada worked hard, diligently and energetically at every task. We were cutting, spliting and bagging firewood, building & dismantling fences and repairing water troughs. Ada learned things fast, her English was excellent and was curious to learn about Kiwi history, language (Slang), holidays, religion & culture. I would highly commend Ada for any job or volunteer position you have. She is in the top 1% of workaways.

We stayed at Amanda's place for 3 weeks in November and December and we had a great time! It was good to learn new skills in the garden and to help out with decluttering stuff and other things that needed to be taken care of. The location is amazing, secluded and with stunning sunset views. We stayed in the gîte that is normally rented out for guests and we had everything we needed. There was even a bath :) Very spacious, so also great when you love spending time in the kitchen. The communication with Amanda went very smooth before we arrived and we got on very easily, had some good laughs, talked about interesting things and did our best to take care of her when she was ill. She gave us all the space to work independently and completely trusted us, which we greatly appreciated. Amanda was very flexible. The doggies TomTom and Sissy and the cats were super sweet (and also naughty, haha). Amanda, we wish you all the best for the future :) May you be happy and healthy ❤️

I’m taking the time to write this feedback now because things moved really fast in the past few weeks (only one month)and I’ve finally settled down for Christmas. I spent three weeks at Tanja and Robert's with two other volunteers, Djinn and Morteza, and not to forget Bellie, the lovely dog. What great encounters, which made these weeks at the Finca in arens de Lledo amazing. Every morning we went to the finca to take care of the animals: chickens, goats... We also set up a water access point and prepared the soil for upcoming plantings. It was such a pleasure to see Tanja and her horse galloping through the forest: a beautiful duo! :)) The finca is surrounded by abundant nature, making it a perfect place to recharge! Each of us had our own room in the village, and Tanja and Robert made sure we lacked nothing. We shared wonderful moments together, including some fun game nights: it was great. We had breakfast together from 8am, then went to the finca until 12:00 pm, followed by lunch and dinner at 6pm together. Tanja and Robert cooked amazing meals. So many culinary talents were showcased this week, whether by Tanja, Robert, Morteza, or Djinn: I enjoyed discovering the specialties. I also really enjoyed cooking for them and sharing my own favorite dishes. We also helped harvest olives at their friends' place: it was supercool! We had two electric bikes available, which were perfect for getting to the village and going for walks. In the afternoons, we went hiking with Djinn and Morteza: there are so many summits to reach and stunning views to enjoy! And all of this in great company, I'll always cherish these memories. Morteza and Djinn were wonderful people to meet, and I later visited Morteza in Sevilla, which was a real pleasure to reconnect! We also heard from Djinn. Yes, these are beautiful friendships that were formed at the heart of the Arrens de Lledo. Thank you, Tanja and Robert, for welcoming me to your place 🌞 I wish them both all the best! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to recharge in the heart of the Catalan countryside, take care of animals, and enjoy great moments in good company! 🌞 Alicia

Mark and Kimberley are a super enthusiastic and dedicated couple! They have super high levels of energy and gave their uttermost in all projects they were involved in. Above and beyond the call of duty they signed up for a Compost/Biochar Workshop and volunteered to help make a Mexican meal for about 35 people at our local Café/Bar. Moreover, Mark wowed us all with his musical talents and gave two amazing concerts at the same venue. They fit into our community immediately and love connecting with and getting to know new people! Very curious and adventurous they are! As always, I'm super grateful when someone leaves the cabin in great condition, which was certainly the case with these two. Kim also amazed us with creating some photo albums online of our life and land. Memories we will treasure forever! Don't hesitate to invite this extraordinary couple to share life with you! I know you won't regret it!

It was a joy hosting Yuki for one and a half months. She is thoughtful, detail-oriented, a very good listener, and someone who genuinely goes the extra mile — often after saying a thoughtful “ettoo…” (which quickly became part of daily life in our house 😊). Yuki cooked really well, worked reliably in the garden and fields, and approached farm tasks with curiosity and care, even when they were new to her. She learns quickly and notices details that others often miss. She also connected beautifully with our daughter, showing patience, humour, and genuine interest — which says a lot about a person. By the end of her stay, she felt like part of the family rather than a guest. We would happily recommend Yuki to other hosts and would host her again without hesitation.

Our time with Cheryl was our first Workaway experience, which we definitely wouldn't want to have missed. Chez is a very experienced, impressive and at the same time lovable person whom we can warmly recommend. During our week in her paradise home, we worked together to tidy up parts of her garden and then planted new flowers. We would particularly like to highlight her hospitality, the excellent food and the numerous tips and recommendations in and around Port Macquarie. We wish you all the best for the future, Chez, and when you next visit Germany, we will welcome you just as warmly into our home!

Claire and Cy helped me for a few days, mostly with some cob work on a building project, and collecting hay. Their communication was clear, and arrived on time, but left a bit suddenly and early. Anyway, I think we had a good time together.
