I enjoyed Jeremie’s enthusiasm for life and eager application to a range of varied jobs that neither of us had much experience in. From finding the best cutting device for hard plastic to make a base in an IBC wicking bed, to cutting and connecting 2” pollypipe and building a stepped pathway out of varied pallets to name a few, he persevered. Jeremie is also a great cook and automatically washed the dishes when I cooked. I enjoyed our conversations and felt included when his friend stayed and helped for a few days (mutually arranged prior to stay). Thanks Jeremie.

I stayed here for a week last July — Erasmo and his family are super kind, generous, helpful people! We had a lot of fun with Erasmo, going out for pizza and chatting when he had time. The village is so beautiful that I enjoyed so much to simply have my coffee with that view, walk around / go for small hikes, have a swim at the river and spend a lot of time with the sweetest 2 dogs. The work itself is super interesting, Erasmo asks for detailed work but you also learn a lot! Also it's nice to only work 3h the morning and be free for the rest of the day. I think you can enjoy more if you speak a bit of Italian and in best case even have a car, as you'll need it for groceries (He brings you, but like this you'd be more flexible). All in all a beautiful memory, Thank you so much!!

Rayou, Marine and their great friend Elliott stayed with me for nearly 2 weeks, and were great people to have around. They spoke excellent English (including Marine, it was great to see your confidence in speaking growing every day!), were cheerful and energetic, cooked some great meals (including chips!) and enjoyed maintaining our native tree plantings near the cottage where they were staying. It was unfortunately that Elliott was allergic to pollen - but he was willing to stomp down grasses for a few hours anyway then on all sorts of other jobs... thanks for cleaning and staining the deck at the cottage! And on a wet day they cleaned the living room in our house including dusting all the shells and ornaments - great job. They were all very helpful, respectful, positive and enthusiastic to learn - and along the way I learned how to make better coffee and they invented a cocktail using local ingredients. I can highly recommend Rayou, Marine and Elliott to other hosts, you will enjoy their company!

Leni and Nela stayed with us for three weeks and one of those weeks was house/pet sitting. They loved the animals and the animals loved them. Leni was very hard working, communicative, respectful and so positive about everything. Even when something went wrong or not as expected Leni would always try her best to recify the situation. Thank you so much for all your hard work Leni. Nela was also very lovely and respectful. Although there are times that I got the impression that Nela may have preferred to not be here or that the work didn't interest her. There was another workawayer here on my land at the time and that also changed the dynamics somewhat around the place. Overall I really enjoyed Leni and Nela's company and I hope you both learnt something while you were here. All the best with the rest of your travels and work opportunities. Please visit again if you are back in the North Island, you are always welcome here. Love Tory, Loki, Nikko, Juni and Basil ❤️

i loved my stay at mauro and yose's place. our work consisted on a lot oc different aspects of gardening and running an organic garden. work life balance was fair and it was always really chilled out. my spanish isnt the best but they always made sure i understand everything and have a good experience. we were 6 volunteers at a cabin next to the tea house and while it was pretty small it made the connection more intimate and close which i liked. definitely recommend if you like garden work and want to stay at a remote and quiet place in patagonia.

I took so much time to give a feedback, i’m so sorry. I went to Eyeries, to Pawel and Emma’s home 7 months ago, in may. I have some difficulties to find my words to describe this experience. honestly, I enjoyed so much my time there. Pawel and emma are such beautiful people, kind and patient with their workaway people. The second I arrived, I immediately felt at home. Eyeries is a beautiful place next to the sea, with beautiful people. I spend some times doing trails enjoying several views, lakes, mountains. I´ve learned so much things : boats renovation, garden building, canoë, percussion skills etc etc. It was a great human exchange, I was there for improving my english, but I also met incredible people, with simple life habits and who are open-minded. If you’re interested to build a workaway project and you’re reading this, I have just one advice : do it. I am actually very nostalgic of this time, I just want to say thank you so much for welcoming me as you did. And thanks for the jam sessions!! It was nice moments. Marion

I stayed with Raewyn and Chris for a little over a week, and it was my very first Workaway experience — and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed and felt completely at home. During my stay, I helped with garden work, avocado picking, and house cleaning, and everything was always explained with patience and kindness. They are such warm, caring people, and I’m truly grateful for the openness and trust the showed me. The property is absolutely beautiful and a very special place. Thank you so much for everything; this experience will stay with me for a long time.

My Experience in Fusagasuga was nothing short of amazing. Sebastian is an awesome Host and a great Person who showed me the city, welcomed me into his home and has a lot of really interesting ideas and projects which he will show you with all of his heart. The school was really nice and the teachers took good care of me so I had a varied and very interesting insight into the school system while practicing English with the students. Fusagasuga is a small but very vibrant city which offers beautiful nature, lots of sports related activities, fun shopping malls and lots of delicious food. Bogota is very close but I never went there because there was so much to do in Fusa. Also the People there are so nice and open hearted and are often very interested in talking with you because there are not a lot of foreigners in Fusa (it's great for practicing Spanish). I felt very comfortable during all my stay in Fusa and can really recommend it to everybody who wants to have an authentic Colombian experience.

A heartfelt thank you to Kakyah and the entire Min Camp staff for such a beautiful experience. My friend Luchi and I chose this as our first-ever volunteering opportunity, and we truly feel it was the best place we could have picked. The hospitality and kindness from everyone were phenomenal. We learned so much about Malaysian culture—from the language and the delicious food to their way of life. We loved every bit of it and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a true immersion into Malay culture. Our tasks included gardening, helping move some equipment, and assisting the staff with activities for school children visiting on weekends. We also helped with some light cleaning, but nothing was ever too exhausting; we did everything with pleasure because we were always treated so well. We are leaving with happy hearts and will forever cherish the two weeks we spent with all of you. Sending you much love and all our gratitude. Beverly & Luchi :)

We stayed under three weeks with Jenny & Freddie. We could tell they are all set up for workawayers: we had a confortable bedroom with a kitchenette and a bathroom that are separated from their living quarters so we enjoyed our privacy. The work load is split by a coffee break accompanied by fresh pastries and lovely chats, and at the end of the working day, we shared lunch. Those moments together were an excellent opportunity to get to get to know them. Jenny's love and care are shown through her delicious cooking, always different with plenty of vegetables and adapted to our diet. Freddie is great to work with, he always equipped us with tools, protective gear and instructions. He's also open to take our suggestions and patiently explain everything. Both of them are adorable and our time together was the highlight of our stay. I should add other benefits: - flexibility! We could take days or time off when the weather was great to go climbing and adjust our working hours - communication: all our needs were met super quickly - healthy snacks: fresh eggs, pecan nuts, tons of citrus - Jolly: playful and adorable dog We wish you the best with the renovation, it's certainly inspiring to see your dream come true. Until we meet again 😊

Daniela stayed with us for one week in December. She was a pleasure to host, always ready to lend a helping hand. She has a positive attitude and completed her tasks skillfully. She played well with our young children, was curious about our lives and said yes to any event or adventure we suggested doing. A great workawayer and lovely houseguest.
