Viola stayed with us from May19-june08. She is a wonderful soul, very considerate and open hearted. We were very grateful to have her. She made an amazing risotto for everyone and would do any job that's needed from cleaning to ruining errands, biking or carrying things, she never looked at the clock and was very modest about her own needs. She is also very flexible and has a genuine interest in the world and its people and beauty. It was fun to sing with her in our choir.

Marianne stayed in our home with our adult daughter while we were away. Our daughter said she was lovely to talk to and have in the house. She pitched in, happy to do anything to help everything run smoothly and well while we were gone. We'd love to have her again and meet her in person rather than only by phone!

Thank you Lucy for your lovely feedback. You were our first Australian and you were easy to be kind to because you are very lovely yourself. Lucy was a hard worker and she learned quickly what was a weed and what was a plant. She had a very happy and sunny personality and was a very willing participant in everything we did. She was only a short term worker but in that short term we finished all of the work we had scheduled for when she was here. Lots of laughter and fun and work. A great combination. We would love you to come back any time especially as you are only in Ozzie.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay with this amazing family. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed and pampered. They were always kind, generous, and made sure I had everything I needed. During my stay, I had the opportunity to participate in various tasks such as gardening, painting, fruit picking, cleaning, and helping out on a construction site. I truly loved discovering new activities. The accommodation was peaceful and surrounded by nature… waking up to kangaroos in the garden was a magical experience! The meals were absolutely delicious, and it was always a pleasure to prepare them, share stories, and spend time in the kitchen with Steve. These little moments made me feel truly at home. I am sincerely grateful for their kindness, hospitality, and generosity, and I highly recommend this Workaway experience to anyone who loves nature, tranquility, and meeting warm and welcoming people. Thank you again for welcoming me into your home and for everything you've shared with me. 💛

Elwin ha messo umilmente a nostra disposizione i suoi talenti aiutandoci a spaccare e sistemare la legna, verniciare, cucinare e molto altro. È stato sempre cortese e rispettoso, molto propositivo e autonomo, sempre disponibile ad aiutare partecipando alla vita familiare. Il ragazzo parla un italiano eccellente che cerca di migliorare ogni giorno. Elwin è una persona non banale, piena d'interessi con la quale è piacevole confrontarsi e condividere anche pensieri profondi o giocare in spensieratezza. Insomma, un ragazzo che vale la pena di conoscere e che ringraziamo per ogni giorno trascorso insieme a noi.

We only can give Petra the highest Praise in how she performed the daily duties. She goes beyond the expectations. We can recommend her highly. She is anytime welcomed in our home. I had a brilliant few days with Viv and her wonderful family. It was an honour to be each others' first Workaway experience! I felt so welcomed into the home, and immediately was at ease, calm and comfortable thanks to everyone's kindness and thoughtfulness. I had my own space in the house (own bedroom and bathroom) but also got to enjoy lots of time with the family - which was great. In between working on preparing and leveling ground before laying some paving, and chopping up wood, I had a great time exploring the fantastic countryside around Alice Springs with Viv and her kiddos. She showed me amazing places I would never have visited otherwise! Oh, and she cooked amazing food for us all, too :) What a fab time - thank you so much!

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. We agreed on an arrival date and I made preparations to host Franklin. However, he did not arrive on the agreed date and did not inform me of any change in plans. I sent several messages before and on the day of arrival, but I received no response. If circumstances had changed, I would have appreciated being informed in advance. As a Workaway host for about five years, this is the first time I have experienced a volunteer not arriving as agreed and providing no communication. I understand that travel plans can change, but clear and timely communication is essential for a successful Workaway experience. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Franklin to future hosts.

Clara and Remy were excellent workers and lovely company! They did an incredible thorough job painting inside our home and I loved sharing dinners and card game evenings with them. They also stayed on for a few days while I went on a road trip and they took great care of my dog and cat. They’re always welcome to come back as friends while travelling in Australia

I loved my stay with Aura and her daughter. They were both very welcoming and opened their hearts and home. Their home is lovely and the kids from school and kindergarten stop by all the time to hang out or do art projects. I was interesting to be a part of the community for a week and experience how life is in a Honduran village. Highly recommended!

I spent almost three weeks with Marta, Tim, and their three wonderful children in a cozy little village about 30 kilometers from Budapest. For those who want to be close to the capital, it can be reached by bus in just 40 minutes. And for anyone looking to escape the big city, this place offers peace, quiet, and the sound of birdsong. I truly enjoyed my time there, pulling weeds, planting,watering the garden, walking the dog, and even using the compost toilet. I met two fellow volunteers, with whom I coud speak Spanish and English. Marta's five years old daughter taught me how to tie my shoelaces in a way that never comes undone. I will always remember Marta's delicious cooking, the family activities, the folk dance events and the singing gatherings in the Fonó. We will meet again soon.

I had an amazing week at Julio’s finca up in the mountains. I helped out at the coffee farm there, living together with Don Carlos. Both were very welcoming and took good care of me. An experience I will remember for a long time.

Además, su capacidad para relacionarse con los demás y trabajar en equipo contribuyó a crear un ambiente positivo y enriquecedor. Nos llevamos el recuerdo de una gran persona y un gran profesional, cuyo aporte fue valioso para todos nosotros. Elena spent four weeks with us teaching English for oiur students and assisting the German main tutor. Throughout her stay she demonstrated excellent communication and teaching skills. We wish her all the best in her endeavors.

I spend one month in Kelaa and I had an amazing time. The school is well equipped and the students were super motivated. I only taught one evening class every day (mostly as assistant teacher), so there was plenty of time to explore the area and make new friends. All the teachers at the school were really nice and helpful and ensured I had a good time. Kelaa might not have to most exciting sights, but it gives you the chance to experience an authentic Moroccan life and to get to know the amazing people.

I spent nearly 2 months staying with Gill and Stephen, what an incredible experience! I’m leaving with my heart full of their kindness and the wonderful times we shared. I’m definitely going to miss Gill’s delicious meals and cakes, their two crazy adorable dogs and all the laughs we had together. Thanks to you, I’ve really improved my English, but I’ve also discovered Kiwi culture and I’m definitely now almost a Kiwi kid. The tasks I was asked to do were mainly related to their beautiful garden, and the hosts are really flexible, it was a pleasure to help them. Thanks to Stephen, I learnt a lot of new skills, like how to use a chainsaw. Thanks again for your help with my car, I'm really grateful for that. I miss you all so much already!!! See yaaa :)

Lorenzo looked after Hugo for a week and he was a lovely caring guy and dog sitter always attentive to Hugo. His presence is our house was easy and chatty. He was always positive and agreeable and more than willing to help with anything. He is self assured and capable and I would recommend him for any future Workaway. Thanks Lorenzo for your help. 🐾🙏

Hey, I had a great stay at Tuvamila. The property is very large, with a diverse landscape including lush vegetation, rivers, a beautiful beach, and an amazing coral reef. You'll enjoy an ocean view right from the living room. The Fijians you'll meet and interact with are incredibly kind and welcoming. The work mainly involves house maintenance tasks to improve comfort around the property, as well as helping to prepare meals. However, you should be ready to live very close to nature: showers are taken with a garden hose, the toilet is outdoors, you'll be sharing the space with two dogs and two cats, harvesting coconuts to eat, and cooking lots of vegetables. The house is open to the elements, which means Fiji's insects are part of daily life too. One aspect that could be a drawback for some people is the overall condition of the house: there are holes in the floors and ceilings (leaking water), the water supply comes from a rainwater collection system, and internet access is only available in one specific spot with Vodafone (not with Digicel). I started the experience on my own, but other WWOOFers quickly joined, which made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable. Thanks everyone!

Staying with Martine, Christian and Snoopy was the best way to start my adventure in Canada. I spent a bit more than a month with them. From the moment I arrived they made me feel at home. They are amazing human beings, always helpful and you can tell how they genuinely care for their workawayers. They want you to have the best experience, so they will help you with everything they can to accomplish it. I enjoyed the walks with Snoopy. He's a very sweet dog, with lots of energy, and such a funny personality that made me laugh a lot. Kayaking, rowing, a day trip to Pender Island, board games night, yummy dinners by Martine...and the best company ever. All of this in the beautiful Galiano Island, which has now a place in my heart among this beautiful family. Thank you for all the nice memories and for show me some more of the human kindness. This is exactly what makes my travelling EPIC. I will see you soon :) Lots of love

We would like to thank Guilia and Sylvain for the wonderful job they did in preparing a new garden for planting in spring. They are both hardworking and thoughtful in the job they did, with great results. We highly recommend them to any host. They also prepared a lovely dinner for us one night. We were very grateful for their help and wish them well on their future adventures.
