📚 You will help children, teenagers, and adults learn English:
15 hours per week → 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday
Classes are only in English (no Spanish needed!)
No teaching degree required — we guide you and provide the lesson plans 🙌

Be sociable, respectful, tolerant, and fun
Minimum stay of 1 month (but if that’s not possible, send us a message — maybe we can find a solution 😉)
if you are creative, sociable, fun, responsible this is your place, the classes are handled only in English, you do not need to be a teacher, you do not need to know Spanish, we guide you and we have the plans for, We will practice Spanish with us and the locals of the region.

Who We Are
We are a warm and cheerful Colombian family: dad (Ricardo), mom (Amparo), our three kids (Luisa, Isabella and Felipe), and the grandparents (Lina and José). We are kind, happy, and hospitable people who dream of learning English, meeting new friends, discovering other cultures, and sharing our own.
That dream inspired us to open a small English school. For us, English is not only the universal language, but also a bridge to the world. We believe it should be possible for everyone to learn it, so we created this project 4 years ago. Since then, we’ve had the joy of welcoming more than 170 volunteers from different nationalities, and it has been a beautiful experience of cultural exchange, learning, and friendship.
What Volunteers Do
Volunteers help teach English from Monday to Friday, 3 hours a day (about 15 hours per week). Classes are held outdoors in covered spaces, with motivated students from our community.
The rest of the time is free: you can swim in the pool, go hiking, practice yoga, ride a bike to the town, or simply enjoy the calm atmosphere of the countryside. Guamal is a very small town, and you won’t find other foreigners here — which makes it the perfect place to practice Spanish with locals and immerse yourself in Colombian culture.
Life with Us
We live on a small farm in Guamal, Meta, about 3 km away from the town. From our house to the town, you can go walking, by bicycle, tuktuk, or taxi — whichever you prefer. Our home is surrounded by nature, fruit trees (oranges, tangerines, lemons, mangoes, zapotes, avocados, bananas, papayas, guamas, arazá…), and our friendly pets (dogs and cats that stay outside the house).
We offer:

Important Details
Minimum stay: 1 month (to keep a stable schedule for our students).
Bus from Bogotá to Guamal: ~4 hours, cost 52,000 COP (2025). Villavicencio also has an airport nearby.
We are looking for responsible, sociable, patient, and tolerant volunteers who love sharing their language, culture, and time with our community.
No teaching degree required — just motivation and kindness.

Quiénes Somos
Somos una familia colombiana alegre y acogedora: papá (Ricardo), mamá (Amparo), nuestros tres hijos (Luisa, Isabella y Felipe) y los abuelos (Lina y José). Somos personas amables, alegres y hospitalarias, con el sueño de aprender inglés, conocer amigos, descubrir nuevas culturas y enseñar la nuestra.
Ese sueño nos llevó a abrir una pequeña escuela de inglés. Creemos que el inglés no solo es el idioma universal, sino también un puente al mundo. Nuestro proyecto nació hace 4 años y desde entonces hemos recibido a más de 170 voluntarios de diferentes nacionalidades, con quienes hemos compartido aprendizajes, culturas y grandes amistades.
Qué Hacen los Voluntarios
Los voluntarios enseñan inglés de lunes a viernes, 3 horas al día (unas 15 horas por semana). Las clases son al aire libre, pero en espacios cubiertos, y están dirigidas a estudiantes de nuestra comunidad que tienen muchas ganas de aprender.
El resto del tiempo es libre: puedes nadar en la piscina, hacer caminatas, practicar yoga, usar la bicicleta para ir al pueblo o simplemente disfrutar de la tranquilidad de la finca. Guamal es un pueblo muy pequeño, aquí no encontrarás otros extranjeros, lo que lo convierte en el lugar ideal para practicar español con los locales y vivir una verdadera inmersión cultural.
La Vida con Nosotros
Vivimos en una finca pequeña en Guamal, Meta, a 3 km del pueblo. Desde nuestra casa hasta el pueblo puedes ir caminando, en bicicleta, en tuktuk o en taxi, como prefieras. Nuestra casa está rodeada de naturaleza, árboles frutales (naranjas, mangos, zapotes, aguacates, papayas, guamas, arazá, entre otros) y algunos animales de compañía como perros y gatos (que no entran a la casa).
Te ofrecemos:
2 habitaciones amplias con camas cómodas: cada una tiene 1 cama doble + 1 camarotes (capacidad de hasta 3 o 4 personas por habitación).
Baño privado.
Desayuno saludable todos los días.
Cocina equipada.
Espacios para hacer ejercicio.
Piscina.
Zona de asados.
Lavandería.
2 bicicletas (no son las mejores, pero sirven para ir al pueblo).
Posibilidad de clases privadas de español con profesor capacitado (con costo adicional).
no consumo de sustancias alucionogenas.
En casa podrás compartir juegos en familia, charlas divertidas, comidas típicas colombianas o disfrutar de una buena fogata bajo las estrellas.
Detalles Importantes
Permanencia mínima: 1 mes (para mantener la continuidad de los estudiantes).
Transporte: desde Bogotá hasta Guamal el viaje dura unas 4 horas en bus, con un costo aproximado de $52.000 COP (2025). Villavicencio también tiene aeropuerto cercano.
Buscamos voluntarios responsables, sociables, pacientes y tolerantes, con ganas de compartir su idioma, su cultura y su tiempo con nuestra comunidad.
No necesitas ser profesor profesional, solo entusiasmo y disposición para enseñar.

We will practice Spanish many times during the day, we will show you which places you can visit in our municipality, wildlife sighting, we will share typical dance cultures of the region such as joropo and from other regions such as salsa, from Cali. During the morning it is free for you so if you are at home you can practice yoga, do sports, read, walk and if you want to leave the house, you can practice cycling we have 4 bicycles, walks in the village, in the mountains, you can swim in nearby rivers , (the place is very quiet) these activities have no cost, if you want to practice other activities such as paragliding, kayaking, plane tour you will have to pay a cost, we have Wi-Fi which is difficult because it is rural but it works, you can make video calls you can feed the animals that we have here, if you want to teach us about culture, music, playing instruments, cooking, if you like pleasant talks, if you want to learn to play the harp, cuatro and maracas, typical instruments of the plain, what are you waiting for to visit us, if you you want to have fun your place is here, we hope to see you soon.
Durante la mañana es libre para ti entonces si estas en casa puedes practicar yoga, hacer deporte, leer, caminar y si quieres salir de casa, puedes practicar ciclismo tenemos 4 bicicletas, caminatas en el pueblo, en las montañas, puedes nadar en rios cercanos, (el lugar es muy tranquilo) estas actividades no tienen costo, si quieres practicar otras actividades como parapente, kayak, recorrido en avioneta tendrás que pagar un costo, contamos con wifi el cual se dificulta por ser rural pero funciona, puesdes hacer video llamadas puedes alimentar los animales que tenemos aquí, si quieres enseñarnos sobre cultura, música, tocar instrumentos, cocina, si te gustan las charlas agradables, si quieres aprender a tocar arpa, cuatro y maracas, instrumentos típicos del llano que esperas para visitarnos, si te quieres divertir tu lugar es aquí, te esperamos pronto.
