Bel and Pablo were a lovely couple to host. Getting up and working in the morning was not for them but they threw themselves happily into work later in the day despite the heat. They loved to cook, were super keen on finding out about our wildlife and a joy to host. Our dog Truffle abandoned us for the whole week Bel and Pablo stayed in favour of them! An enthusiastic couple that I am happy to recommend.thanks to you both and happy travels. Susan and Murray

Henna is an excellent volunteer! She is very polite, calm, good vibe, always ready to help. He didn't have a lot of activities in her period but was a good experience share moments with her. She is very organized and helped me to take care of Ranch and Casinha. Thank you Henna! I hope you can come back!

What a pleasure it was to host these 2, both very calm, peaceful, polite and kind. Very easy to have arpund and they worked very hard especially in the garden which looks amazing now. Sanne facilitated 3 breathwork workshops which definitely were impactful for those who attended and it was really wonderful to offer different healing modalities in my home. My animals loved them too and I know we will see each other again ❤️

We were lucky enough to be hosted by Oscar and his family. We stayed for about 2-3 weeks and during our stay we had such a wonderful time ! They were so kind and welcoming, making sure that our stay wasn't just "working" but to enjoy the surrounding areas and everything this place had to offer ! They always made sure that we were ok, and always giving recommendations for everything. Oscar is always one for cracking a joke. During our stay we helped out with gardening projects, painting, sanding and carpentry. Oscar was super flexible with the "working hours" so we had so much free time to explore the area and towns nearby, and we explored so many. The accommodation that they offered us was also super nice. Our stay here was really one of the best. We want to thank Oscar and Yvonne for having us ! We hope to be back again soon !

I had a wonderful stay at the Ranch with Barbara and her wonderful dogs. Everyone welcomed me very warmly and I felt like at home quickly. The house is beautiful, same as the big garden. Also the food Barbara bought for me always was really good! She made sure I always feel comfortable. Everyone is super friendly, I had good talks with her always. Also working and connecting with her gardener Jose was so uncomplicated and nice experience. He helped me to rent a motorcycle for exploring all the area around the lake. The weather indeed is really good, beautiful and sunny but never way too hot. These weeks at the Ranch was exactly what I needed after my time in a big city like Guadalajara. Thanks Barbara for that good time!

I had a really nice time at Laura's place. Due to the storms there was plenty of cleaning to be done and I found it fulfilling to play a little roll in that. Laura is a very pleasant host that really takes care of all your needs. She even introduced me to a mancircle group where I spend a nice afternoon. The house is getting prettier each day and is already quite convenient. The forest in the back of the garden and the garden itself is lovely and nice to spend time in. During my stay we even brought a sauna in 👌🏼☺️ The communication was good and open. I really recommend this place to go and spend time with Laura as well 😁

Samuele is someone who never needs to be told what to do. Just tell him how you’d like the work to turn out, and he’ll plan everything on his own. He works incredibly hard. We had never mixed or poured concrete before, but Sam knew exactly how to do it—and he did it so smoothly and beautifully, just like a professional. My room floor would never have been finished without him 😆 And honestly, we probably would have gotten the mix wrong too 😁 Thank you so much, Sam—for the floor, for the walls, and for the care you put into every detail. Even though it’s just a small earth house, you worked with such precision and dedication. If you ever have the chance to visit Thailand again, please come see me—and stay in the earth house you helped build with your own hands 😊 Thank you so, so much. PJ.

Did three weeks here and had an absolutely lovely time. Nikki is hospitable, considerate and is fantastic at cooking thanks to the ever present James Martin videos playing in her living room. I found the work very enjoyable, there were so many things to do around the place so I was never bored, Nikki would also come and help / teach when she could, she's a very busy lady though so don't expect her to hold your hand the whole time. Nikki was very flexible with my times, I could start when I was ready, and even take a break and resume later if I got too hot in the middle of the day, as long as my five hours was completed. The plantation itself was a relaxing and cozy place to live, I spent many an afternoon in the hammock by the pool. There are plenty of exotic birds around too. Volunteers will need to bring their listening ears as there are a few things about the place that need to be remembered, but if you pay attention you'll be up to speed in no time. Overall, great experience, would highly recommend

We truly need Ayaka on the team, because she’s like the gentle link that keeps everything flowing smoothly. Even while she’s covered in clay like the rest of us, during breaks she naturally steps into a caring role—making tea or coffee, bringing water, and looking after everyone. It feels almost like her instinct, because she genuinely enjoys taking care of others. You’ve come to the right place, Ayaka. Whenever you return to Thailand, you’re always welcome to stay at my home. I’d love to cook together and share plenty of delicious meals until we’re happily full. See you soon or later. PJ.

Eskerrik asko! ------ I have been lucky enough to enjoy a week at Mikel and Marisa's house. Their kindness, naturalness and character as experienced hosts and travelers have made my stay very comfortable and enriching. I appreciate that they were always flexible and understanding regarding the work to be done (accompanied by their dogs and cat). This, together with the charming surroundings, which invite you to walk and recreate in the beautiful landscapes of the Malerreka region, often with the sound of water in the background, make it an unforgettable experience for me. Eskerrik asko!

I really adore Paula. She inspires me to plan more carefully and to work in a more structured, step-by-step way. (I’m not the most organized host, haha 😆) After work, she would often come help with cooking, and we shared many warm, cozy meals together. I truly hope you’ll come back to visit me again, Paula. Thank you for all the joyful moments we shared. PJ. 😊

Both of them are volunteers who have exceeded my expectations in the most wonderful way. They work with such dedication, not watching the clock, but instead flowing with the natural rhythm of the work to ensure everything is completed in its own time and context. This is especially beautiful for earth-building—where applying clay to walls truly requires patience, care, and thoughtful attention to detail. I genuinely appreciate them both so much. They are true professionals, gracefully showing up in the role of volunteers. Thanks Mathilde and Nicolas Hope to meet you again when you visit Thailand. 😊 PJ.

I had an amazing time at the farm and wish I could've stayed longer if I didn't have a flight already booked. I visited early in cacao season and it wasn't in full swing quite yet, we broke open cacao pods and the rest of the work was related to general farm upkeep like watering construction areas, taking care of the dogs and cow, chopping wood etc. Mukunth organises the volunteers and does a great job planning out what everyone will be doing and is super receptive to feedback. Mayoor is a wealth of knowledge about all things fermentation as well as having lots of tips for the local area. The accommodation is basic but good, especially now with the mosquito nets on the beds! Food is generally pretty good as well. I hope to return again some day to see cacao season in full swing

Amazing time with Paul and Yvonne. They have a beautiful property and even more beautiful energy as hosts. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and included as part of the team. Working alongside them was such a rewarding experience. Their permaculture garden is inspiring, and we learned so much about sustainable living, planting techniques, and working in harmony with nature. They are both incredibly knowledgeable and always happy to share what they know. The donkeys were an absolute highlight, gentle, funny, and full of personality. Spending time with them made the whole experience even more special. Call out to doggos Eidevitis an Titatous for guiding us around the farm.

Ale is my first Workaway host and has provided me with an amazing farm experience in Sciacca! (my "farm life in Sicily" dream-come-true!!) Even I was a bit last-minute and could not stay for too long. It was so nice to get connected to the plants, trees , his soap museum and his friends in Sciacca. And of course we had super interesting conversations from permaculture, to emotional growth, to "decolonising" talks hahaha. Thank you Ale and I look forward to coming back in summer!

I feel so lucky to have Lahcen as my host in Morocco. He is super kind, friendly, openminded and helpful, always willing to help his volunteers. Assa is a beautiful, lovely and peaceful city with lovely people. The students are always willing to learn. They are angels:) I'm so sorry about leaving early because of some personal stuff. Thank you Lahcen! Thank you all the other volunteers Camila, Sarah, Juba, Maxim... It's a lovely experience with you guys:)
