Help with horses in Deans Marsh, Australia

  Beschreibung

  We're a family of four, with 2 girls (10yrs & 8 yrs) living on a farm at the edge of the Otways in Deans Marsh, Victoria
  
  We are located: 25 mins to Lorne & the Great Ocean Road & 1 & 1/2 hours to Melbourne (via car or train)
  
  We're looking for an energetic traveller/s who loves horses and children and has a strong riding ability.
  
  We will have 8-10 horses in work for the Australian polo season from November to April and would love someone (a couple or two friends possible) to help out with:
  
  - Feeding horses
  - Putting horses on the Walker
  - Cleaning out yards & tack
  - Grooming for the Polo matches & training
  
  You would have your own studio room, bathroom & kitchenette, access to a car when required (age dependent), and can come to the main house (50 m away) for meals / hanging out as desired.
  
  Located just 25 minutes from Lorne our summer involves lots of riding in the local bush & visits to the beach. We'd be happy to show you the region including the Great Ocean Road, Torquay to Apollo Bay, and other beautiful attractions nearby, as well as our closest cities, Geelong & Melbourne.
  
  With other travelers working close by, there is also an opportunity to meet other people and socialising locally. You would have access to car if you have an international license.

  Arbeit

  Either Horse handling and care including mucking out yards, feeding, exercising horses either through riding or on a horse walker (depending on ability). Or alternatively childminding and helping around the house - while Caroline (mum) tends to the horses. Just an extra pair of hands to lighten the load a little and also get to know some one new.

  Unterkunft

  You would have your own room within our house. It has a queen bed, internet access, a television, and would share the bathroom with the girls (4 & 6 years). Meals would be as apart of the family unit. Happy to accommodate dietary requirements.

  Buses & trains are available nearby for visiting local towns and exploring the region. Avalon airport is just under 1 hour away. A car would be available at certain times depending on the licence of the visitor and availability.
  
  We are happy, positive people, who work hard and enjoy our downtime. We are looking forward to sharing our lives with a likeminded person who is hands-on and is keen to experience a fun Australian summer!
