Beschreibung
University professor. We live in the countryside 20 minutes from Salamanca, Spain, a student and cultural city with a lot of tourist attraction. I speak English, German and some French and Italian. The residence is comfortable, with lots of space and animals (sheep, chickens ...), orchard ... in a small town of 100 inhabitants.
The house is a family home where we are now two people, although there are always pleasant visits. The residence can be shared in the main house or in independent annexes with internet access and common places: kitchen, living room with fireplace, library, sauna, swimming pool, gardens, orchard, stable. The rooms have their own bathroom. Vegan and vegetarian support is also offered, with no problem that we can share and elaborate together if desired.
The area is a 20-minute drive from Salamanca, a small but important city of tourist, cultural and gastronomic interest. Salamanca has been the European Capital of Culture 2002, a World Heritage City by Unesco in 1988 and has the recently approved CIE, International Spanish Center (March 2019). You can make visits to museums, libraries, historical buildings and to stroll through its streets full of student atmosphere that encourage many leisure and cultural activities throughout the year: conferences, cinema, concerts, exhibitions, etc. Madrid, the Spanish capital is an hour and a half by train and has direct buses from the airport to Salamanca capital.
Likewise, the nearby rural world offers attractions: hiking, horseback riding, cycling, folk festivals, gastronomy, craft fairs, etc.

The rural world offers a new aspect for volunteers and the proximity to such a cultural and lively city is a great attraction. The treatment is close and participatory in the activities. The guest can improve the Spanish language and enjoy tranquility and leisure.
