  We have recently taken on new land in the jungle to build up a cute wood cabin concept on the river side. Our projects on the way : hostel, bar, yoga retreat, ice bath, ayurvedic massage and many more interesting things...
  We aim to create an enjoyable space and experience for our guests. Our wish is to fill our ground with good atmosphere and great vibes.
  We are situated between Weligama Bay and Mirissa Beach town IN LAND (4,5kms from each). Do not hesitate to search for us on google maps.
  We have riverside land with a lot of potential, beautiful trees, in a tranquil neighbourhood for all sorts of activity.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  Our aim is to include foreigners as well as local workers in our team. We want to include Sri Lankan people and create a cultural exchange in our day to day work.
  In time, we will be donating things to the local families, to the local temple and hope to help them live in better conditions.
  We are also trying to do some beach cleaning to create a nicer environment in the area. We are divers so we care a lot for the ocean and beaches.
  Feel free to come and enjoy our happy place, you can use the washing machine and also borrow a yoga mat or a snorkle whenever.

  Arbeit

  Dear travellers,
  
  We are always looking for people with ARTISTIC skills !!
  
  We organise events in the jungle which are super cool and we will need help for these musical events there. We run parties 1 or 2 times per week and need help promoting these around the local area before the party and more!!
  
  PAINTING : This could be for mural painting with original and creative ideas to redecorating (interior and exterior work) or any other creation such as macrame, wood work, sculpture, wood carving, rope bridges.... if you are an artist - please add "ART" to the reference when you message us.
  Our premises are in the jungle, by the river, we want it to be full of plants, and weird funky things ;)
  
  YOGA : newly innogurated yoga space (28/02/25) we need Yogis with initiative to take on classes and bring the Shala to life
  
  DOG CARE : over the time we have starting to care for a lot of dogs in need and now have 7 dogs and 3 cats, so we love to have poeple to help us with our little monsters ;)
  
  SOCIAL MEDIA : We are also looking for people prepared to stay for a min of 1 month with good experience in Social Media , we need someone responsible and hardworking, with innovating ideas.
  
  Also looking for versatile helpers or people able to do some gardening, carpentry, building structures with palette/cinnamon/palm, and any other creative minds that can help us to finish putting our hostel, bar, yoga space together.

  Other than the above, we will need people for normal hostel help from December onwards (reception, cleaning, bed making etc). We will need yoga teachers when our yoga space is complete
  
  We are looking for motivated and creative people. You will have plenty of time to be able to go and explore the areas. We do not exceed the 25 hour workaway week! We prioritise people willing to stay for more than 2 weeks as we have quite a lot of demand..
  
  We are 4 km away from the Weligama surf spots and 700m from Fisherman's Reef, and 5km away from Mirissa tourist town.

  Unterkunft

  Volunteers are housed in a basic Sri Lankan family house in the jungle adjacent to the hostel. Dont expect luxury, if not, pay for your surf camp week, this is the jungle ! ;) There are 2 to 4 bedded rooms for the workawayers to enable the team to have their own space and kitchen. The house is surrounded by jungle and a beautiful garden with cinnamon trees, bananas and monkeys ;)
  We offer lunch to our volunteers. They have a home cooked typical Sri lankan vegetarian dish every day of the week. This gives us a moment to disconnect from work and reconnect with nature.
  For us, offering this space for volunteers is a way of sharing a place that we are in love with so that you can fall in love with it too, and that you can help us improve and continue learning together to create this wild community in the heart of the jungle.
  We expect people with initiative and autonomy who understand that here there are days of torrential rain and days of oppressive sun; days with many people and other quieter days; of nights of mosquitoes and mornings of insects that you never thought to observe... but above all after the crazy Saturdays we are left with the calm of the most authentic sounds of the jungle animals that remind us where we are...   Was noch ...

  We are a 10 mins bus ride into Weligama and from Mirissa (the buses arent so regular though), where you can enjoy surfing, diving, even whale watching when the season starts. The entire south coast is available on the buses and allows you to visit the beautiful beaches and local restaurants.
