Hello!
We are Gloria, Vanessa and Juan. We live in a small piece of land in the Colombian inland looking to live in a more tranquil way and at our own pace.
Juan, after traveling for many years in South America volunteering in many places, has found these kinds of cultural exchanges to be the one of the best ways to travel.
The place is a 1000m2 parcel of land with two small cabins and many plants and different types of trees. From here you will hear and see different types of birds and frogs. We live with our two playful and sweet dogs, Hara and Mambo, and 5 cats.
Our project consists in slowly moving into a more self-sufficient way of living.

Somos Gloria, Vanessa y Juan. Vivimos en un pequeño pedazo de campo, buscando vivir de una manera más tranquila y a nuestro propio ritmo.
Juan, después de viajar por unos cuantos años por Suramérica siendo voluntario en varios lugares, ha encontrado en estas formas de intercambio cultural una de las mejores maneras de viajar.
El lugar es una parcela de 1000 m2 con dos cabañas chicas y algo de espacio donde hay algunos árboles y muchas flores. Desde aquí se pueden ver y oír diferentes tipos de aves y ranas. Vivimos con nuestros dos perros juguetones y cariñosos, Hara y Mambo, y cinco gatitos.
Nuestro proyecto consiste en transitar hacia una forma un poco más autosustentable de vivir. -

While you are here you will be treated like family and you will have the opportunity to share your life experiences and ideas and get to know our own. You may explore our countryside setting, with the possibility of visiting some very picturesque nearby towns, you can learn about coffee (Juan is a Barista and we live among coffee plantations) and we are also on the way to advance with our carpentry workshop, so you may learn about that as well if you wish.
This is also a good place to practice your Spanish.

Te ofrecemos una oportunidad para compartir y que te sientas como en familia. Podrás conocer nuestro entorno campestre con posibilidad de visitar algunos pueblos cercanos muy pintorescos. Puedes aprender sobre café (Juan es Barista y vivimos entre cafetales) y también estamos en camino de avanzar con nuestro taller de carpintería.
También es un buen lugar para practicar tu español. -

The most important thing we hope from our volunteers is that they are proactive, that they come ready to do things and that they leave feeling like they contributed in a positive way to our project.
We are starting to implement different permaculture-oriented projects. We have different tasks to work on and what we would like the most is for our volunteers to contribute to our projects in what they are interested in doing and learning, like this they will contribute while keeping in mind everyone’s likes and needs.
We need your contribution in basic daily chores, like feeding our lovely four legged companions, caring for the vegetable garden and in some cases some construction, carpentry and painting. We are also interested in a healthy lifestyle, including practicing yoga, meditation and conscious healthy eating.
Future projects that we are looking to undertake include creating and maintaining social network profiles, photography, identification and classification of the different plants and animals of our area.

Lo más importante que esperamos de nuestros voluntarios es que sean proactivos, que vengan con muchas ganas de hacer cosas y que se vayan sintiendo que han aportado en una manera positiva a nuestro proyecto.
Estamos empezando a implementar diferentes proyectos orientados a la permacultura. Tenemos diferentes tareas y lo que buscamos del voluntariado es que cada persona pueda aportar en lo que le interesa aprender, en lo que le guste hacer y así contribuir a nuestro proyecto teniendo en cuenta los gustos y necesidades de todxs.
Necesitamos un poco de ayuda en las tareas básicas diarias, como darles de comer a nuestros compañeros de cuatro patas, el cuidado de la huerta y en ocasiones algo de construcción, carpintería y pintura. Estamos también interesados en un estilo de vida saludable, prácticas de yoga, meditación y alimentación consciente.
Futuros proyectos que nos interesan incluyen cuidado de nuestras redes sociales, fotografía, identificación y clasificación de las diferentes especies de flora y fauna en la zona. -

Unterkunft
You will be staying in a private cabin which has a room, a kitchen and bathroom. Depending on availability you might have to share the cabin and its amenities however there is a great amount of space if you would like to camp out instead. We have spring-like weather here, so it can get quite hot during the day but will cool down nicely at night.
Volunteers will prepare their own meals with the food that we provide, with the option to occasionally cook together under previous agreement.

Podrás quedarte en una cabaña con habitación privada, cocina y baño. Dependiendo de la disponibilidad, podrías tener que compartir la habitación y sus componentes. Si te apetece, también hay mucho lugar para acampar. El clima acá es caluroso tipo primaveral, entonces se pone calentito y soleado durante el día y refresca bastante durante la noche
Las comidas serán preparadas por cada uno con disposición de los alimentos que proveemos nosotros para esto, con opciones de ocasionalmente bajo acuerdo cocinar en conjunto. -

We are located in a rural area about 14 km from the center of Armenia and 10km from the airport. You can get here by bus plus a 2.5 km walk or by taxi/uber (approximately 30 thousand Colombian pesos). The Armenia bus station has buses leaving to the most famous nearby towns very often during the day, such as Salento, Finlandia, Buenavista, and others, taking on average one hour to get there. This is a great option if you want to do some sightseeing or treks in your time off.

Estamos ubicados en un sector rural a unos 14 km del centro de Armenia y a 10 km del aeropuerto. Se puede llegar en bus y caminando los últimos 2,5 km o en taxi/uber (30mil pesos colombianos aproximadamente). La terminal de buses de Armenia cuenta con buses que salen frecuentemente para los pueblos más famosos de la zona, como Salento, Filandia, Buenavista, y otros, tomando en media una hora para llegar a ellos. Esto te da muchas opciones de cosas para hacer en tu tiempo libre, como trekking y ver paisajes hermosos. -
