Hello! My name is Arianna, I am a bio-architect and I live in a house in the countryside, with a large garden, near the sea of Versilia. The house is divided into 3 portions, in one part I live with my husband Luca and my two sons Francesco 11 years old and Nicoló 9 years old, in a part my parents Salvatore and Maria Antonietta with my brother Graziano and another portion is rented to tourists, especially in the summer season.
With us there is also a little dog Gilda, which is the mascot of our street, a cat Milú, 4 parrots, 2 goats Sbornia e Pandora and many chickens.
Behind the house we have a plot of land dedicated to a vegetable garden, where organic vegetables are grown depending on the season and about 2 km from the house we have a farm of about 2 hectares, with olive groves, a small vineyard recovered in the years 2004-2005 and a part of the forest, all organically grown, owned by us for over 40 years.
We take care of the farm all together, including my brother Mariano (landscape agronomist) and his wife Silvia, who live in the village next to ours, but above all my parents dedicate their time to them, being retired.
We therefore need someone to give us a hand especially in the preparation and harvesting of olives, in the olive grove and garden maintenance jobs, under the expert guidance of my parents and with us in the moments we have out of the work.
In our free moments we like to take walks on our hills and the Apuan Alps, discover the nearby cities and taste the typical gastronomy of the places we visit.
For some years we have been traveling in Italy and abroad with a home exchange, and this has allowed us to make cultural exchanges with the inhabitants of the places we visited and get to know new people and cultures. We like it so much that we have decided to open our home to this new (for us) opportunity to exchange experiences, knowledge and skills.

Ciao! mi chiamo Arianna, sono un bio-architetto e vivo in una casa in campagna, con un grande giardino, vicino al mare della Versilia. La casa é divisa in 3 porzioni, in una parte abito io con mio marito Luca e i miei due figli Francesco 11 anni e Nicoló 9 anni, in una parte i miei genitori Salvatore e Maria Antonietta con mio fratello Graziano e un'altra porzione é affittata a turisti, soprattutto nella stagione estiva.
Con noi ci sono anche una canina Gilda, che é la mascotte della nostra strada, un gatto Milú, 4 pappagalli, 2 caprette Sbornia e Pandora e tante galline.
Dietro casa abbiamo un terreno dedicato ad orto, dove vengono coltivate verdure biologiche a seconda della stagione e a circa 2 km da casa abbiamo un podere di circa 2 ettari, con oliveto, un piccolo vigneto recuperato negli anni 2004-2005 e una parte di bosco, tutto coltivato in maniera biologica, di nostra proprietà da oltre 40 anni.
Ci occupiamo del podere tutti insieme, compreso mio fratello Mariano (agronomo paesaggista) e sua moglie Silvia, che abitano nel paese accanto al nostro, ma soprattutto sono i miei genitori a dedicarvi tutto il loro tempo, essendo pensionati.
Abbiamo bisogno quindi di qualcuno che ci dia una mano soprattutto nel momento della preparazione e raccolta delle olive, nei lavoretti di manutenzione dell'oliveto e dell'orto, sotto l'esperta guida dei mei genitori e insieme a noi nei momenti che abbiamo fuori dal lavoro.
Nei momenti liberi ci piace fare passeggiate sulle nostre colline e sulle Alpi Apuane, scoprire le cittá vicine e assaggiare la gastronomia tipica dei posti che visitiamo.
Da qualche anno viaggiamo in Italia e all'estero con scambio casa e questo ci ha permesso di fare scambi anche culturali con gli abitanti dei posti che abbiamo visitato e conoscere nuove persone e culture. La cosa ci piace cosí tanto che abbiamo deciso di aprire la nostra casa a questa nuova (per noi) opportunitá di scambio di esperienze, conoscenze e competenze.

Was ist das?
Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten
Our house is located in the countryside, in Versilia 4 km from the sea, 30 minutes from Lucca and Pisa, 1 hour from Florence and the Cinque Terre, in a strategic position also for easy or more audacious excursions and climbing in the Apuan Alps.
If you want you can join us during our free time outings.
We often light the wood-burning oven and prepare bread, pizzas, cakes and biscuits. My mother is a great cook and at home we also prepare jams, pasta, gnocchi, tordelli and cappelletti (stuffed pasta typical of our area) and many other delicacies with genuine products from our land.
With the oil we produce but no longer usable for food purposes, I am delighted to produce detergents, soaps, shampoos and creams at home, so as to "throw away nothing", also helping the environment by avoiding buying chemicals for cleaning and cleansing the body with considerable savings also in terms of plastic containers. Obviously I will be happy to self-produce together!
We will also be happy to improve your English, or start learning a new language, but also help improve your Italian.

La nostra casa si trova in campagna, in Versilia a 4 km dal mare, a 30 min da Lucca e Pisa, 1 ora da Firenze e dalle Cinque Terre, in posizione strategica anche per facili o piú audaci escursioni e arrampicate sulle Alpi Apuane.
Se vorrete potrete unirvi a noi durante le nostre uscite nel tempo libero.
Spesso accendiamo il forno a legna e prepariamo pane, pizze, torte e biscotti. Mia mamma é un'ottima cuoca e in casa si preparano anche marmellate, pasta, gnocchi, tordelli e cappelletti (pasta ripiena tipica della nostra zona) e tante altre leccornie con prodotti genuini provenienti dalla nostra terra.
Con l'olio da noi prodotto ma non piú utilizzabile a fini alimentari mi diletto a produrre detersivi, saponi, shampi e creme in casa, in maniera da “non buttare via niente”, dando una mano anche all'ambiente evitando di acquistare prodotti chimici per la pulizia e detersione del corpo con un risparmio notevole anche in termini di contenitori in plastica. Ovviamente saró felice di autoprodurre insieme!
Saremo felici di miglirare anche l'inglese, o iniziare a imparare una lingua nuova, ma anche aiutare a migliorare il vostro italiano.

We need someone to give us a hand especially in the preparation and harvesting of olives, in the olive grove and vegetable garden maintenance jobs, under the expert guidance of my parents and with us in work-free moments.
Since this is our first experience, we ask for a minimum knowledge of the Italian language.

Abbiamo bisogno di qualcuno che ci dia una mano soprattutto nel momento della preparazione e raccolta delle olive, nei lavoretti di manutenzione dell'oliveto e dell'orto, sotto l'esperta guida dei mei genitori e insieme a noi nei momenti liberi dal lavoro.
Visto che é la nostra prima esperienza, chiediamo un minimo di conoscenza della lingua italiana.

We provide a bedroom with a single bed in the portion of my parents' house, with a shared bathroom.
Meals will be consumed on the ground floor of the house where there is a kitchen with a large table and a fireplace.

The house is in the countryside, but well positioned respect to public transport: the bus stop is 500 meters away and the train station is 1 km away.
In your free time you can visit Pietrasanta, Viareggio but also Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Livorno. The nearest airport is in Pisa (Galileo Galilei).
It is also possible to do escusrioni on the Apuan Alps or a swim in the sea of Viareggio or Lido di Camaiore or even take a walk along the famous Via Francigena that passes right by our farm.
We can put at your disposal a bicycle to reach the public transport more easily or to take a ride in the area.
We will also be happy to do some going out together.

La casa é in campagna, ma ben posizionata rispetto ai mezzi pubblici: a 500 mt c'é la fermata dell'autobus e a 1 km la stazione dei treni.
Nel tempo libero potrete visitare Pietrasanta, Viareggio ma anche Lucca, Pisa, Firenze, Livorno. L'aereoporto piú vicino é quello di Pisa (Galileo Galilei).
E' possibile fare anche escusrioni sulle Apuane o un bagno al mare di Viareggio o Lido di Camaiore o persino fare una camminata lungo la famosissima Via Francigena che passa proprio dal nostro podere.
Possiamo mettere a vostra disposizione una bicicletta per raggiungere i mezzi pubblici piu agilmente o per fare un giro nella zona.
Saremo felici anche di fare qualche uscita insieme.
