  ⭐Our children are especially excited about the idea of hosting a young male Workawayer. They dream of having an older-brother figure to play with, share adventures, and practice English with every day ⭐
  
  We are a warm and welcoming family living in the heart of Catania, Sicily.
  Our main goal It's finding an older brother for our two boys (aged 8 and 11) To practice English in a natural, fun and everyday way. We don't want English to feel like a school subject, but rather something they can enjoy through conversations, games, shared activities and family life.
  
  We believe children learn best when they feel relaxed and genuinely connected with someone. For this reason, we are looking for a Workawayer who enjoys spending time with children and naturally includes them in everyday moments.
  Our boys love Minecraft, Roblox, Pokémon, LEGO, board games and sports, and they especially enjoy people who take the initiative to chat, play, go for a walk, cook something together or simply spend time with them in English.
  Hosting Workawayers has become an important part of our family life. For us, it's much more than help around the house—it's about cultural exchange, friendship and creating meaningful memories together.
  We live in the historic centre of Catania, surrounded by local markets, cafés, restaurants and excellent public transport. During your free time, you'll have the opportunity to explore Sicily, its beautiful beaches, Mount Etna and many historic towns.
  We are mainly looking for native English speakers, but we would also be happy to welcome native Spanish speakers, ( Always giving priority to English) because from September Mattia (the eldest) will have Spanish as a school subject, in addition to English, so we might consider starting to include some words in Spanish

  Arbeit

  We are not looking for a teacher or an entertainer.
  
  We are looking for someone who enjoys becoming part of our family for a few weeks and who likes interacting with children in a natural way.
  Our boys are now 8 and 10 years old. They love Minecraft, Roblox, Pokémon, LEGO, board games and sports.
  At this age they usually connect best with people who naturally take the first step: chatting with them, suggesting a board game, building LEGO together, talking about Minecraft or Pokémon, kicking a ball around, walking the dogs or simply spending relaxed time together in English.
  The help is light and mainly includes:
  speaking English ( And if you know some words in Spanish to try to enter a new language)naturally with the children
  
  Keeping company to drop off and pick up Mattia (the eldest) from school a few steps from home
  
  Spending time with them during the afternoons( Just an hour or so after homework)
  
  walking our chihuahuas
  
  sharing family life in a relaxed and positive way
  
  ⚠️No heavy cleaning or boring chores! 😊 Just the little things that make living together easy: keep your room tidy, clean up after yourself, help with setting or clearing the table, and if you've been playing with the boys, help them tidy up their toys and the play area afterwards

  🌸 You will have a large private room with beautiful high ceilings and frescoes, two balconies, a desk and a comfortable double bed.
  WiFi is available and you will have your own personal space and privacy.
  We are happy to share meals together as part of family life. At the same time, we fully respect your independence and personal time, so you are free to organize yourself when needed.
  Small collaboration in daily family routines (such as helping set/clear the table) is appreciated, as part of normal shared living.
  We value a relaxed and respectful home environment where everyone feels comfortable.

  We live in downtown Catania, surrounded by shops, Historic fruit and vegetable market,restaurants, bookstores, and cafés.
  The area is well connected by metro and train, perfect for exploring Syracuse, Taormina, Mount Etna, and many other beautiful spots in Sicily.
  The sea is not just outside our door, but it's easily reachable by public transport.
