  WHO WANTS TO BUILD AN TREEHOUSE?

  We are building an adventure park on the sunny island Sicily. *This year also the first bigger treehouse, with sea view to seven more little islands.* As social organisation we can write you volunteering documents to reach the place & internship certificate for your CV.
  
  LIVE THE ADVENTURE OF YOUR LIFE!
  
  ***Note: This is a social project. Family support, animal wellfare & nature conservation. We all do social work on a voluntary, unpaid basis. You can learn a lot if you are attentive and respectful. You also get the greatest freedom of action if you are reliable and independent.
  
  We share the food costs. 5€ daily. Therefore we also share nature paradise and all we have (knowledge, & equipment), we show you some of the most beauty beaches, little islands and much more as you can read in our reviews & info email.***
  
  Thanks to the best Sicilian connections, you can also freely choose between many optional extras (restaurant, live music events, boat tours, paragliding, windsurfing and much more) at special friendly prices. (We don't earn anything, our partners just want to support our social projects...)
  
  The adventure park is for both children & adults to get back in touch with nature, experience adventures and to enjoy the beauty of the world.
  
  All we ask is that you respect the environment. (And that you read further infos, wich we send you by email.)
  
  This is a *social project*, if you have a good *team spirit*, then you can enjoy particularly beautiful trips (see reviews) - if you are instead on an "ego trip" it will be a short stay! (No narcissism, no aggressive behavior, no drugs.) Living outdoor in harmony with the environment...
  
  It is a wonderful green place full of life and under beautiful sunshine. You can enjoy the sea view to the Aeolian islands close to us as well natural lonely beaches.
  
  We are currently setting up basic facilities such as solar showers, a workshop, sleeping huts and are rebuilding the hundred years old farm. We have some tents & hammocks - please enquire before hand for availability.
  
  When you are here you can do permaculture gardening as well as assisting in the construction of buildings in wood, stone and other nature materials.
  
  We have a lot of building material from good partners & friends - you are welcome to put this to use :)
  
  We produce our own olive oil (real virgin - from handpicked fruits), wine (own foot production!) fresh tomato sauce (one of the world's best thanks to Sicilian sun & Mount Aetna) as well as much more with ecologically valuable produce from our land & garden. (In the moment the garden is growing. We work on self-sufficiency for the future.)
  
  We are always being as simplistic and as close to nature as possible - therfore nearly no electricity - the off-grid dream!
  
  (We have a little solar module. You can load some devices.)
  
  Life here is very simple. Just like Robinson Crusoe when he was stranded on a lonely island. The difference; on our sunny island we are never alone, thanks to the very hospitable Sicilians, friends & volunteers from all around the world.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  We will show you the most beautiful spots of the island and you can make your own adventure trips; on the mountains and especially Aetna, discover the hidden beach or 'God's arm' - the blue lagoon - and the rich cultural history of the region. Experience what it's like to make your own wine, have a taste of a simpler, slowed down life and get in touch with the original rural life of Sicily.
  
  Near to here are the Aeolian Islands. Seven magical little islands, each has it's own character and are wealthy with minerals and, rightly so, The Aeolian Islands are listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites. 2014 one swam from them to us... only 30 kilometers! Normaly we prefer the boat...
  
  We will build our own sailiing ship in the next years. Right now you can learn of the construction of little wooden buildings up to big tree houses. Also you can learn by doing - using alternative natural building materials, such as for yurts and cob houses...
  
  ... you are free to learn by doing here - the possibilities are endless.
  
  If you ever wanted to give a place your own brush stroke, this is the place to do it.
  
  By the way, until we build the sailing ship we have a little boat to enjoy the most beauy cost of Sicily seaside. :-)

  We are an little international known team of social workers and scouts. You can profit of our many years of experiences outdoor, with animals as well in team management.

  You are a manufacturer or a dab hand at building?
  We are looking for people who are willing to work with their hands.
  Best would be carpenters and other craftsmen,
  but anyone willing to pick up a shovel or a hammer is welcome.
  
  You can
  - give the animals love
  we have a donkey, two mule girls, two dogs, 4 cats & chicken
  - help in the Garden (plant, maintain, harvest)
  - help with buildings (dig holes, do carpentry)
  - build your own version of a treehouse, Hobbit house, yurt or tent - if you stay long enough (it has to be safe though)

  Sicilian is a beautifull language, italian as well. You can learn some words and more of you want.

  Unterkunft

  We got work to do and the site is big (200.000 m²) so we can host 10 and more workawayers at a time. Moreover, we are social people and we like to be in good company. We speak italian, english and german.
  
  We have hammocks & tents to sleep in. As well a COB hut, and other tiny huts made out of bamboo-lini (reed) & wood. You can bring your own tent and hammock if you would like. We cook over open fire or on our big BBQ and eat together underneath orange and tangerine trees or the starlit sky. The menu is quite diverse, as our garden provides us with a variety of ecological vegetables and fruits - and as we are in Sicily pasta and rice is kind of obligatory. There even is an old pizza oven which needs restoration. So maybe this might be your personal project? We meanwhile built a little pizza oven - worked for thousands of pizzas. 🍕
  
  Other wooden constructions we realize with you:
  Treehouses, Thermo-Solar-Shower, COBs, Yurts, and much more.
  
  There is a room we can lock for your personal belongings and even a restored barn, in case the weather should be bad. Currently it is used to store our building material.
  
  We built a compost toilet, as it is not yet complete we still use our natural basic toilet in the woods. We will soon finish "the most beautiful compost toilet in the world"...
  
  Up to now, we heat our showering water by solar power but one of the next steps will be to build a solarthermic shower.
  
  In the carpentary we are welcome to make use of the working tools and machinery. The owner supports the project.

  Was noch ...

  Currently the 'stationary' pioneer is Christian, his dog Eolo and his donkey Ercole, as well as sicilian colleagues nearby. Other team members come whenever they can, also volunteers from all around the world. Some stay up to a year, also a lifetime is possible. :-)
  
  Here we are accompanied by our great donkey Hercules, two lovely mule girls, handsome special dogs, cute cats, several chicken, sometimes a few guest horses, and the occasional snake. (The black snakes you can meet in summer are as dangerous as the worms in the garden - not at all :-D ...Instead the worms are very usefull and "nearly big as little snakes", thanks to the very good soil. ;-)
  
  What the area can offer:
  An epic view on the Tyrrhenian sea, including the seven Aeolian Islands,
  the Sanctuary of Tyndari and the archaeological site of Tyndaris nearby,
  as well as amazing lonesome beaches and many tourist attractions,
  like old castles and natural preserves only a stone's throw away!

  For those who "need" WiFi we mostly can offer lots of giga. Sicilian offers are cheap, you can also get your own simcard (only Vodafone and "Ho" works at the in our location. For example 50 giga, unlimited(!) video chat, and hundreds of minutes phone calls for ten €. ...Our giga we offer volunteers for free.
