    Namaste🙏,
It's me Yogacharya Raj, but widely known as "Guru." I am a dedicated practitioner and teacher of Yoga, Meditation and Holistic healing traditions. Previously, I successfully operated a Yoga Meditation and Ayurveda retreat in the foothills of the Himalayas in beautiful city Pokhara offering an amazing environment overlooking the Mountains and Lake. The retreat served both National and International guests seeking physical well-being, mental clarity and spiritual growth. However, due to the Global COVID -19 Pandemic the retreat was forced to close.

Now I am in the process of establishing a new retreat center near Kathmandu, in my own birth place. This new space will be dedicated to providing authentic experience in Yoga ,Meditation, Ayurveda and Singing Bowl, Healing with the aim of promoting holistic wellness in a peaceful and natural setting. Our culture is a live museum because it is not locked inside buildings so it is alive and happening every day in our day to day life. People in Nepal still wear traditional clothes and celebrate many festivals like Dashain, Tihar, and Fagu Purnima (the festival of colors). They follow beautiful traditions in marriage ceremonies,Pujas, Jatras ( gathering of many people with their cultural dress) of different caste and ethnic groups, and even in birth & death rituals.Just like museums keep history safe, Nepali people keep their culture alive by practicing it everyday through: Food, language, rituals and festivals. It is not observed that it should be experienced by staying in the related community. We warmly welcome you and will do our best to involve you in these traditions. We proudly follow the customs passed down from our ancestors. We may conclude that our country Nepal is filled with diversity.

My vision is to create a sanctuary(safe space) where individuals can reconnect with themselves to restore balance and experience with the deeper essence of traditional healing practices rooted in Nepal's spiritual heritage. I kindly request your support and co-operation in this matter.

Before the COVID-19 Pandemic, I had built a fulfilling life and successfully operated a retreat in Pokhara. However, life took an unexpected turn and I faced significant personal loss.Today I am grateful to be living with my daughter, Shakshi and my 73 year old mother, whose name is Gyanu, as I work toward rebuilding our future.

Again in September 2024 , we experienced another major setback due to a landslide and flood .Despite these challenges, my commitment remains strong. I am now developing a new center near Kathmandu dedicated to Yoga, Meditation, Ayurveda, Reiki and Singing Bowl Healing. As this project is currently under construction, I warmly invite you all Volunteers to support us in building this space. By your support and help we will rise again with the same energy.

    Task may include :
    -Light Construction support
    -Cooking
    -Gardening and
    -General household activities
So flexibility is appreciated. In return, volunteers will have the opportunity to participate in daily Yoga, Meditation sessions, share creative ideas and experience authentic village life in a traditional Nepali Brahmin community. This is a unique cultural exchange offering deep immersion into local traditions, lifestyles, and nature as well.

We have some rabbits which might help to release stress, and honey bees for honey. You may try bee venom therapy as well. Guests may also enjoy fresh organic product from our garden and surrounding forest like -
You would taste seasonal fruits such as : oranges, Kiwi, guava, sugarcane, bananas, Nepali hog plum, and local varieties of persimmon, plum, and peach from my garden. From the forest, we offer 100% organic fruits like
Golden Himalayan raspberry, Berberis aristata, Himalayan ground gooseberry, and fragrant wintergreen in season. You will have ginger and turmeric which are available year-round, which might be beneficial for our health.along with a peaceful natural environment which might be ideal for personal growth.
Your small effort helps us to raise again with full potential. So, let us walk together to create a space of healing, learning and sharing points of happiness.
