  Beschreibung

  In August 2025, we founded an eco-friendly cohousing project on a property comprising three apartments, 40 ares of garden, a barn, and other small outbuildings. Currently, two families (two couples with babies) live here. We enjoy welcoming new residents, temporarily expanding our community, and motivating each other to work on ongoing projects.
  
  The project is based on three pillars:
  
  - Human connection: each household has its own apartment, but we share the outdoor spaces, outbuildings, guest room, laundry room, resources, property management... and quality time together!
  
  - A focus on living things: preserving biodiversity, using resources sparingly (composting toilets, wood heating, reuse, etc.), sharing resources, self-sufficiency (without aiming for complete self-sufficiency), and processing fruits and vegetables, eggs, and honey.
  - Openness to the community: we are renovating the barn and part of the garden to host community events, artist residencies, training groups, and more. Welcoming volunteers and temporary residents is also part of our core values.
  
  In our first year, we began some improvements to the garden: planting bee-friendly hedges, small fruit trees and shrubs, creating a vegetable garden, setting up a chicken coop, planting herbs, and installing two beehives. We also started work on the barn (lime slab for the floor, lime plaster for the walls).

  Nous avons fondé en août 2025 un habitat collectif écologique nommé dans un espace comprenant 3 appartements, 40 ares de jardin, une grange et d'autres petites dépendances. Nous sommes aujourd'hui 2 familles (2 couples avec bébé) à vivre sur place. Nous aimons accueillir du monde, agrandir temporairement le collectif, se motiver ensemble à avancer sur les chantiers en cours.
  
  Le projet s’appuie sur trois piliers :
  - Le lien humain : chaque foyer a son appartement mais nous partageons les extérieurs, les dépendances, la chambre d'amis, la buanderie, les ressources, la gestion du lieu... et du temps de qualité !
  - L’attention au vivant : soin de la biodiversité, sobriété dans l'utilisation des ressources (toilettes sèches, chauffage au bois, réemploi...), mutualisation, auto-production (sans visée à l'autonomie) et transformation de fruits et légumes, oeufs, miel
  - L'ouverture sur l'extérieur : nous aménageons la grange et une partie du jardin dans le but d’organiser des événements conviviaux et citoyens, accueillir des résidences d’artistes, des groupes en formation, etc. Recevoir des bénévoles et habitants temporaires fait aussi partie de notre ADN.
  
  La première année, nous avons lancé quelques aménagements du jardin : plantations de haies mellifères, petits arbres et arbustes fruitiers, potager, installation d'un poulailler, aromates, installation de deux ruches... et nous avons démarré les travaux dans la grange (dalle de chaux pour le sol, enduits à la chaux pour les murs).

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  From our place, you can easily walk to the Royal Saltworks of Arc-et-Senans (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and visit the local bar. The train station is a 13-minute walk away and goes to Besançon, Dole, and Arbois. We can also go on excursions to the river or short hikes together.
  
  We speak Spanish (I speak it to Maya), English, and Italian. We enjoy speaking different languages ​​and experiencing other cultures.
  Arthur has skills in woodworking and beekeeping. I am a French teacher.

  Depuis chez nous, vous pouvez visiter à pied la Saline Royale d’Arc et Senans (patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO) et aller au bar associatif. Le train est à 13min à pied et mène à Besançon, Dole, Arbois. Nous pourrons aussi faire des excursions ensemble à la rivière ou des petites randonnées.
  Nous parlons espagnol (je parle en cette langue à Maya), anglais, italien. Nous aimons parler différentes langues et nous mélanger à d’autres cultures.
  Arthur a des compétences en menuiserie et apiculture. Je suis professeure de français.

  Arbeit

  We would be delighted to welcome volunteers for a few weeks to work together on the garden projects, prepare the fruits and vegetables, look after the chickens and the vegetable patch, and help with daily life (meals, playing with the baby, Maya, due in October 2025). The schedule can be arranged together, at a relaxed pace that works around the babies and our respective jobs (as we all work part-time outside the property) :) A maximum of 15 hours of contribution per week.

  Nous serions ravis d'accueillir des bénévoles pour quelques semaines, pour avancer ensemble sur les travaux, aménager le jardin et transformer les fruits et légumes, s’occuper des poules et du potager et aider à la vie quotidienne (repas, jouer avec le bébé, Maya, née en octobre 2025). Les horaires sont à déterminer ensemble, avec un rythme plutôt tranquille et calé sur les bébés et nos métiers respectifs (car nous travaillons tous en dehors du lieu à temps partiel) :) maximum 15 heures de contribution par semaine.

  Unterkunft

  You will be accommodated in a twin room in a separate apartment. Ideally, we prefer to host two people traveling together, or we will try to arrange for someone else to be present at the same time (shared but not mixed-gender room, with a screen between the two beds) as this is more pleasant than being alone part of the time. You will have a large living/dining room next to your bedroom. The kitchen and bathroom may sometimes be shared with visitors or Workawayers. At least one vegetarian meal per day will be eaten together at our expense. We will provide basic vegetarian ingredients for the other meals and leave you to supplement your menus independently (the supermarket and bakery are a 5-minute walk away).

  Vous serez logé·e dans une chambre avec deux lits simples, dans un appartement indépendant. Idéalement, nous préférons accueillir deux personnes qui viennent ensemble, ou bien nous essayerons de faire en sorte qu’il y ait quelqu’un d’autre en même temps (chambre partagée mais non mixte, avec un paravent entre les deux lits) car c’est plus agréable que d’être une partie du temps tout seul. Vous aurez un grand salon/salle à manger à côté de la chambre à vous. La cuisine et la salle de bain peuvent être parfois partagées avec des invités ou Workawayers. Au moins un repas (végétarien) par jour sera pris ensemble et à nos frais. Nous fournirons des ingrédients (végétariens) de base pour les autres repas et vous laisserons compléter vos menus de façon autonome (le supermarché et la boulangerie sont à 5min à pied).
