  Family of three. Mom (psychologist), dad (doctor) and soon to be 5 year old. We are living in a pretty peacful and non-touristic continental part of Croatia. You'll love it here! We aspire to be minimalistic and sustainable. We are also very intentional with our food and we try to teach our kid healthy food habits which means no highly processed candies for most of the time but instead home made ice creams and similar treats.

  We can share Croatian culture and customs and we are looking foward to learn the same.
  
  We love engaging in deep conversations about how daily life differes from country to country. We both traveled a lot and I spent two moths in Morocco and my partner spent two months in Mexico and two months in Spain so we have some insights in these countries as well.
  
  Additionally, we reallyyyyy enjoy cooking and trying out new foods.
  
  If you are interested in psychology or preschool education you can learn about psychosocial developement of a child - how children navigate social relationship and emotional regulation, why children behave the way they do and how environment and support systems shape their confidence and autonomy.

  Arbeit

  Workawayer would be playing with our child and talking to her in Spanish or English (language immersion). Our child doesn't go to kindergarten during summer since I have less work in that period and I work from home in summer . My idea is that the Workawayer will be playing and interacting with our child 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. As a family we have experience of hosting a few Couchsurfers and our child really enjoyed trying to figure out how to communicate with them. We believe that getting to know people from different countries is truly enriching experience for her.
  
  One more important thing I would like to mention is that we as a familiy do not use technology for the child play.

  I really love linguistics and I can teach you all the Croatian you want but have in mind it is relly hard language. I want to improve my Spanish. We can also practice conversational English.

  Unterkunft

  We live in 70 square metres apartment and we rearranged our laundry room and put up a mattress there (as seen on the photos) so Workawayer can have their privacy. We make lunch every day and the Workawayer will eat with us. We eat meat maybe once or twice a week and we can easily accommodate for vegetarian food.

  Was noch ...

  Osijek is under three hours away from three capitals - Zagreb (Cro), Belgrade (Serbia) and Budapest (Hungary). There are regular buses to these cities. Bosnia is also pretty close. One hour from Osijek there is Orahovica lake surrounded by beautiful nature. We have family there and we go regulary during the summer. Workawayer is welcome to come with us.
  
  The best way to move around the Osijek is by bike. Bikes can be easily rented out. Osijek also has local trams and buses which are very efficient (and both tram and bus station are in front of our apartment).
  
  We aspire to be minimalistic so we regularly ask people not to bring us anything (including toys).
