Currently we are precisely looking for a teacher someone who wants to experience an immersion in nature / tropical forest in exchange for some hours of help per day.

We are an alternative school, bed & breakfast, a retreat center, a permaculture farm and a women local art workshop. We are located in the UNESCO biosphere tropical reserve "Macizo de Peñas Blancas", Bosawas, Nicaragua. Our food is organic and mostly produced on site, we have our own source of pure water, our waterfall, we host trainings and workshops every month and receive a lot of volunteering demands at the moment. 6 months minimum, 1 year best.

Arbeit
We offer a teacher position for our alternative school: la Escuela del Agua.
We are looking for a teacher or someone that doesn't have a teacher's diploma but loves teaching kids, has some experience with children in the past and feels that is it's new path, to come teach our group of 18 local kids in exchange of a room/and 3 meals a day plus all the workshops and activities at our farm - 6 months minimum, 1 year best.
We ask our resident teacher to teach them whatever skills they possess: english, art, dance, yoga, music, etc...

We love to flow and adapt to a child's needs and interests: creating a healthy space to develop their natural strengths. Sometimes it's about navigating emotional situations well and have strong faith in our next generations gifts, if we can raise them as beautiful leaders.

Our project Escuela del Agua is the area were you would be applying your skills. Your creative volunteering will be offered in that area. Particular skills you can offer to children in this project are: painting, music & singing, emotional wellbeing through simple yoga & breathing, natural rhythm and dance, art with nature, connection to the elements, speaking & writing English.

This special project Escuela del Agua can be a great opportunity to deepen your experience in children's education through art, nature, and community.

Part of the commitment also involves also teaching our son Nogal (7 years old), 2 hours a day his homeschooling program.
