  About the place and the project
  
  Our hostel is located in one of the most exclusive areas of Ometepe, very close to the island’s main tourist attractions. Like much of Central America, we have two seasons: high and low. Right now, tourism is quiet, which gives us time to reorganize and prepare for the high season starting in December.
  
  Currently, we occasionally have 3 local workers helping us, who also dedicate time to agricultural work in the area.
  
  About me as a host
  
  My name is Jafeth, I’m from Costa Rica, and I’ve been managing the hostel for two months. It’s been a big challenge, but also a very rewarding experience. I’m open, enjoy teamwork, and value proactivity.
  
  What we share
  
  Beyond daily tasks, I aim to share experiences, ideas, and a lifestyle more connected to nature. We have a space full of natural resources and raw materials for sustainable projects, plus a garden where we grow some of our own food, available for responsible use by everyone.
  
  In their free time, volunteers can explore the island; I’ll provide plenty of recommendations to help them enjoy their stay and even get discounts in some places. This season is calm, perfect for connecting with nature and oneself.
  
  Accommodation and meals
  
  Currently, I do not provide three meals a day, but we have a fully equipped kitchen, an oven for baking bread, and fresh fruits and vegetables that volunteers can use freely. Each volunteer prepares their own meals, but everything needed to eat well is available.
  
  Volunteering tasks
  
  Volunteers are not required to help prepare meals for guests, only for themselves. The idea is for them to feel part of the team and family, to learn from each other, and to have an authentic experience in Ometepe.

  In exchange for your help, we offer shared dorm accommodations and the opportunity to participate in free tours as a local guide. We also like to share: sometimes we cook and eat together, other times we celebrate with a party or just enjoy time together. Here, good vibes and sharing are part of the experience.
  
  A cambio de la ayuda ofrecida, ofrecemos alojamiento en dormitorios compartidos y la oportunidad de participar en tours gratuitos como guía local. También nos gusta compartir: a veces cocinamos y comemos juntos, otras veces celebramos con una fiesta o simplemente disfrutamos del tiempo juntos. Aquí, la buena onda y compartir son parte de la experiencia.

  Arbeit

  Help in the garden, assist with basic hostel maintenance, and collaborate with small daily activities. We don't ask for much, just a commitment of respect, affection, and goodwill. We like to share, work as a team, and create a pleasant environment for both travellers and those who live here.
  
  ayudar en el jardín, asistir con el mantenimiento básico del hostal y colaborar en las pequeñas actividades diarias. No pedimos mucho, solo que se comprometan con respeto, cariño y buena voluntad. Nos gusta compartir, trabajar en equipo y crear un ambiente agradable tanto para los viajeros como para quienes viven aquí.

  Unterkunft

  Here you'll find a fully equipped kitchen, internet access, a bedroom with a fan, laundry facilities, common areas for socialising, and a beautiful garden where we enjoy sharing and relaxing. We only offer breakfast for now.
  
  Aquí encontrarás una cocina equipada, internet disponible, dormitorio con ventilador, espacio para lavar tu ropa, áreas comunes para convivir y un bonito jardín donde nos gusta compartir y relajarnos.
