Beschreibung
We are an all-inclusive surf lodge in Nicaragua, offering oceanfront accommodation! Our guests come to stay with us for a full week or more, to get the best waves. We provide a friendly social environment for our guests and staff. Come and be a part of the team and family! The right person will be outgoing and ready to help keep up the guests' vibe! Please read below to see the volunteer positions we have available. We receive a large number of applications. Travelers will receive the opportunity to surf. You will learn more about the Nicaraguan culture. Our staff is mainly local Nicaraguans.
Arbeit
Volunteers we seek will have social media marketing experience including photography and videography for reel, and story creation. Search engine optimization experience would be a beneficial asset. Please specify your experience in both.
The ability to speak Spanish will put you higher on the list for candidates as our local staff do not speak English and we find it best for all staff to be able to communicate efficiently.
We have found that one month goes by very quickly and we do prefer volunteers stay with us for two months. Highly experienced candidates will be considered for one month.
We are also looking for someone to help us around the surf lodge with maintenance and odd jobs. We will accept yoga instructors. We will require more than a once-a-day yoga session to make this an equal exchange. Meaning, yoga instructors will also offer social media management or handy work/maintenance. We do have potential at times for a surf instructor. These instructors must have a minimum of Level 1 ISA training.
Our volunteers are asked to help with entertaining our guests, which we find is not difficult, as our guests are almost always exciting, kind, fun, and easy to chill with! Going with the guests to their surf sessions is common, and as long as the video/photo requirements are met, there will also be time to join in the surf. Our boards are provided as long as "you break it/ding it/lose it, you buy it" is 100% agreed to. Being a support to our guests and making their vacation the absolute best it can be is the priority for this position.
Two volunteers will be considered if they can share a room and fulfill, between the two of them, the social media management and either the handyperson or surf instructor position. Social media management is always a must.
Our workawayers are provided with the same level of accommodation and food as our guests. With the high volume of interest we receive, we ask that you please give us full information in your initial outreach message, including examples of your work and experience in terms of social media management, SEO experience, ability to lead yoga/stretch sessions with our surf guests, and handy abilities. Please include your surf experience, interest in surf and exactly what you want to provide for our business in exchange for the authentic Nicaraguan experience that you will receive from your stay with us. We always want to create an equal opportunity exchange.
We DO NOT require kitchen help, bartenders, or maid services. These positions are filled with full-time local Nicaraguan employees. Please do not apply for these positions.

Oceanfront Surf Lodge with accommodation and all meals provided while there are guests. While there are no guests you will be provided with food items for cooking for yourself, which has not been happening recently with the surge in tourism in the area.
