  We are a curious and cosmopolitan family living in Tenerife since September 2025, in a charming, wooded village in the north of the island. Aron and David are two mischievous little boys, five and three years old, who speak German (their father's native language), Polish (their mother's native language), and Spanish (not yet fluently, but improving every day). Andreas is an entrepreneurial father who, thanks to his work, has already traveled the world. Magdalena (known as Jadzia)—that's me—is a mother in her forties with a youthful spirit. Since we love forests and water, our choice of location in Tenerife, above the town of Icod de los Vinos, was no accident. Here you can go hiking on several trails, and the nearest sandy beach is less than 20 minutes away by car.
  
  Somos una familia curiosa y cosmopolita que vive en Tenerife desde septiembre de 2025, en un encantador pueblo arbolado del norte de la isla. Aron y David son dos pequeños traviesos de cinco y tres años que hablan alemán (la lengua materna de su padre), polaco (la lengua materna de su madre) y español (aún no con fluidez, pero cada día mejoran).
  Andreas es un padre emprendedor que, gracias a su trabajo, ya ha viajado por medio mundo. Magdalena (conocida como Jadzia) —esa soy yo— es una madre de más de cuarenta años con un espíritu joven.
  Como nos encantan el bosque y el agua, nuestra elección de ubicación en Tenerife, sobre la localidad de Icod de los Vinos, no fue casual. Aquí puedes salir a hacer senderismo por varias rutas, y la playa de arena más cercana está a menos de 20 minutos en coche.

  In exchange for your support in learning Spanish and helping with homework, we offer to share meals and explore Canarian cuisine, travel with us to different interesting places on the island, and relax on Tenerife's beautiful beaches. We'd also be happy to share the culture and traditions of the countries where we grew up: Germany and Poland, and to hear about Spanish traditions as well.
  
  A cambio de apoyarnos en el aprendizaje del idioma español y en la ayuda con los deberes, ofrecemos compartir comidas y explorar la cocina canaria, viajar con nosotros a diferentes lugares interesantes de la isla, y descansar en las hermosas playas de Tenerife. También estaremos encantados de contar sobre la cultura y las tradiciones de los países en los que crecimos: Alemania y Polonia, y también escuchar sobre las tradiciones españolas.

  Arbeit

  We are looking for a woman whose native language is Spanish. We would like her to be communicative and eager to integrate into our family and teach us Spanish through everyday conversations. We would also like her to help with household chores 4 to 5 times a week: tidying up, cleaning after meals, and cooking (if she enjoys it), so we can focus more on the children. Gardening will only be required if she is interested. We estimate the help to be 20 hours per week.
  
  Estamos buscando a una mujer cuya lengua materna sea el español. Nos gustaría que la persona fuera comunicativa y tuviera ganas de integrarse en nuestra familia y enseñarnos español a través de las conversaciones cotidianas. Además, queremos que la persona nos ayude con las tareas del hogar 4 a 5 veces por semana: recoger, limpiar después de las comidas, cocinar (si le gusta), para que podamos concentrarnos más en los niños. El trabajo de jardín solo será necesario si le gusta. Estimamos que el trabajo sea de 20 horas a la semana.

  Unterkunft

  We offer our guest a small guest room with a separate entrance to the bathroom and its own access to the garden. From the window of this room, you can see some trees in the foreground and the Atlantic Ocean in the background. We also invite you to share meals with us.
  
  Ofrecemos a nuestro huésped una pequeña habitación de invitados, con entrada independiente al baño y su propia salida al jardín. Desde la ventana de esta habitación se pueden ver algunos árboles en primer plano y el Océano Atlántico al fondo. También los invitamos a compartir las comidas juntos.

  Our house in the woods is located in a small village near La Florida/Icod de los Vinos. It's a place for people who enjoy being close to the forest, the peace and quiet, and a mild climate.
  
  From the house's windows and the garden, you can see the peak of Mount Teide to the south and the waters of the Atlantic Ocean to the north.
  
  The house consists of a living room connected to the kitchen, a bathroom, a bedroom, a room with bunk beds, a garden, and a guest room with a separate entrance.
  
  The kitchen and bathroom are newly renovated and fully equipped. We also have high-speed internet. The nearest beach, San Marcos, is 10 km away, and the popular tourist town of Puerto de la Cruz is 25 km away. The beaches and towns in the south of the island are a maximum drive of one hour and 15 minutes.
  
  Nuestra casa en el bosque está situada en un pequeño pueblo cerca de La Florida/Icod de los Vinos. Es un lugar para personas que disfrutan de la cercanía del bosque, la tranquilidad, el silencio y un clima suave.
  
  Desde las ventanas de la casa y desde el jardín se pueden ver el pico del volcán Teide desde el sur y las aguas del océano Atlántico desde el norte.
  
  La casa consta de una sala de estar conectada con la cocina, un baño, un dormitorio, una habitación con litera, un jardín de tierra y una habitación de invitados con entrada independiente.
  
  La cocina y el baño están recién renovados y completamente equipados. También tenemos internet de alta velocidad. La playa más cercana, San Marcos, está a 10 km, y la conocida ciudad turística Puerto de la Cruz a 25 km. Para llegar a las playas y localidades del sur de la isla se tarda en coche máximo una hora y 15 minutos.
