    Olá!
    We are a Portuguese couple with a little more than 50 years :).
    We have a beautiful piece of forest (Laurissilva forest) in Pico island, Azores.
    "She", Ana was always worked in hospitality, especially in customer care: " I love people. I'm committed, friendly, cheerful, calm, rigorous and responsible."
    "He", António worked as financial manager in the building constrution area: "I love nature, that I always try to protect! I love to work with wood."
    5 years ago we decided to change our way of living and came to a beautiful and calm place surrounded by nature.
    In our land we want to preserve and maintain the forest.

    The Azores islands are amazing! Pico is one of the most incredible!!! Because of the colour (black and green), the big and stunning mountain, the vineyard landscape...
    Pico has the highest mountain of Portugal (2351mt).
    People from Pico - Picarotos - are very kind and friendly. Also very religious. They love to celebrate friendship. Many years ago the Picarotos transformed the landscape producing wine. Nowadays it's classified by UNESCO as a world heritage landscape. It's unique!
    We will live all in the same building and will have the main meals (lunch and diner) together.

    We have 5 acre of forest. Even though we want to maintain it, there's always a lot of tasks to do. The main things are:

    - build a greenhouse;
    - build a hedge fence;
    - open and clear paths;
    - do forest maintenance;
    - cut down small trees and plant shrubs;
    - pile up logs and wooden boards.

    The climate in the Azores changes frequently. So we may have to switch tasks everyday.
    However we will give priority to the construction of a wood greenhouse and to build a hedge fence.
    So if you love nature, outside (forest) tasks and work with wood we would love to welcome you!
