    Description

Welcome to our little corner of nature! 🌿

This is a space of transformation and healing. ✨ Rooted in the principles of permaculture and guided by a deep respect for Mother Earth, we see our land as a living teacher. Here, we honor the rhythms of nature, the wisdom of simplicity, and the beauty of community. Every soul who arrives is invited to walk a path of self-discovery, connection, and co-creation. We believe that through conscious living and shared intention, we can nurture not only the Earth, but our own inner gardens as well.

We are located in Aracati, Ceará — just 5 km from the stunning Canoa Quebrada Beach and about 170 km from the vibrant city of Fortaleza. Our space is a living experiment in sustainability, community, and connection with the Earth.

Here, we live simply and in harmony with nature — building with natural materials, managing our waste responsibly, composting, recycling, creating biogas, solar energy and treating our water through ecological systems. Every day is a chance to learn, share, and grow together.

    WHO’S HERE?

We’re not a fixed community — we’re a living, breathing project where people come and go, always learning and building together. Sometimes there are five of us; sometimes just two or three. If knowing the number of people helps you plan your journey, just reach out and ask — we’ll be happy to update you!

STAYING WITH US — 14 DAYS MINIMUM

To truly dive into the rhythm of life here, we ask for a minimum stay of 14 days. This helps create a smooth, meaningful exchange between Aldeia and you. If it feels right for both sides, there may be a chance to stay longer.

If you’re looking for a place to connect with nature, learn about sustainable living, and be part of a beautiful exchange of knowledge and culture, we would love to hear from you!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

The volunteer experience here is deeply immersive — from hands-on tasks like cleaning and cooking to collaborating on projects and sharing meaningful moments as a community. On a deeper level, the connection with nature, in its purest and most untouched form, leaves a lasting impression on all who visit. We also come together for weekly music jams, creating spaces for joy, creativity, and connection.

    Help

Our volunteers are an important part of Aldeia’s daily life. 🌿 From cooking and planting to maintaining spaces and making art, your hands and heart will help shape daily life here. We especially welcome artists, holistic healers, and vegetarian/vegan cooks to share their skills.

With over 13 bioconstructed spaces to care for, we value proactivity, teamwork, and open communication. Volunteers are also encouraged to offer workshops and share their own knowledge with the community.

We ask volunteers to spend as much time as possible in the space during their 14-day stay, embracing the richness of community living. If you’d like to visit nearby beaches or explore the area, we suggest planning this before or after your stay, or during your days off.

    MEALS:

Preparing and sharing meals is a big part of life at Aldeia and an important role for our volunteers. 🍲🌱 We cook healthy, organic food together, making mealtime a nourishing and joyful experience.

To cover communal organic food and basic supplies, we ask for a contribution of R$500 (around $85 USD) which includes three meals a day for 2 weeks. This amount should be handed over upon arrival.

Volunteers who prefer are welcome to buy and prepare their own food, but we encourage joining the communal meals to fully experience the spirit of living together.
