Description
Hello Workawayers! We are a French-Canadian family living in a rural area of Ottawa. (We also all speak English) We have 4 children, their ages range from 11 to 20. We live in a large house that is an easy 20 minutes from Ottawa by car.
We love art, video games, sewing, board games, juggling, magic, music, nature, swimming, and gardenning.
Bonjour! Nous sommes une famille franco-Ontarienne vivant dans la région d'Ottawa. Comme nous essayons de garder le français comme langue dominante de la maison, nous sommes particulièrement intéressés à recevoir des Workawayers qui peuvent parler en francais. Si le français est votre langue maternelle ou s'il ne l'est pas et que vous cherchez à le pratiquer pendant votre séjour au Canada, il nous ferait plaisir de vous recevoir. Le reste de ce profil sera en anglais pour permettre une plus grande accessibilité.

Help
We have a very big house that is lived in full time as we homeschool and work from home at least half of the week. So, we would love to have help with cleaning and decluttering.
Help with cooking is also appreciated as it gives us time focus on other things.
Our daughter loves sewing and would love tips and tricks from people with that expertise.
Our youngest is all about magic tricks and circus arts. If this is your specialty and would like to either teach him new things or just practice with him, you have a special invitation to our home. 😀

We are a 20 minute car ride from downtown Ottawa. This is the best option for transportation since we are in the country.
We also have access to Ottawa via bus ride. A bus leaves for Ottawa in the morning and comes back in the evening from Monday to Friday.
Ottawa has many sites, museums, pubs, theatres...
We have 4 children. The eldest has graduated from college and is off living her own adult life. The second has just graduated from high school and is taking a gap year to work and travel before going off to college. The other 2 are part-time homeschoolers. (12, 15)
We only accept women or couples.
We only take guest for 1 or 2 week stays.
