    Description

    Hi there

We are currently looking for help February to April, We need help mainly in the garden.

We are a recently retired couple. Fabrizio is Italian and I’m Irish (Yvonne). We both took early retirement in July 2021 to pursue our dream of moving to Sicily. We’re just coming to the end of renovating our wonderful house and large garden, only 800m from the sea and beautiful beaches. The focus of our work now is on some carpentry works.

We love Sicily, love good food, and enjoy the sunshine. We can provide lovely accommodation, with your own private bathroom, and all meals, to someone who’d be happy to get stuck in to general work in both the house and the garden.
The garden in particular needs a lot of attention and will require some pretty physical work. Ideally we would need someone familiar with garden tools such as motor hoe, brush cutter, hedge trimmers etc. Although work on the house is almost complete there may be odd jobs to do inside and also help with general housekeeping.

Our house is 3km outside the seaside town of Pozzallo. It’s a vibrant town all year round. Bigger towns of Ispica and Modica are a bus ride away. There's a train station in Pozzallo if you'd like to explore a little further afield.

A great opportunity to learn Italian, enjoy some authentic Sicilian life and see a neglected garden brought back to life. So far, we've really enjoyed being Workaway hosts and have kept in touch with many of our lovely volunteers. We like the social part of the workaway experience and enjoy getting to know our volunteers.

Sadly we can not help Workawayers looking for residency.

We cannot provide you with any insurance while staying with us nor with travel insurance, so we advise you to take care of that matter on your own. However, we do our best to provide a safe environment to avoid any accidents from happening in the first place.

Thank you for taking the time to read our profile :-)
