  • Description

Hello there, reader and traveler. I'm Pedro. I am starting a great agroforestry/syntropic agriculture project. It is located on our family farm (bought by my grand-grandfather). Back then, my elders were misinformed by their consultants and used terrible farming practices, which have degraded our land. So now we will heal it. The project is getting better each day. We really appreciate your participation!

My end-goal is to have a nice community for my family and friends to live in; a healthy place, much like Epicurus' Garden if you know who he was.

*️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️I kindly ask you to do a little research before sending a request. Campo Grande is off the touristy route, and is not in everyone's plan to come around here. If you're coming from São Paulo/Rio/Brasília, a direct flight (less than 2 hours) for under 80$ is your best bet. Buses are around the same price, but will take around 12 hours.

Olá, leitor e viajante. Sou Pedro.

This project is about people! You will be very welcome and see yourself fit in as an appreciated, well-functioning member of a small community and team

You'll get to know a common brazilian Mid-western life. It's cheap, slow and pleasant. You will work in a long-lasting, sustainable, amazing food forest. And last but not least, there will be the opportunity to meet the incredibly wise, handsome and humble person that I am.

Você conhecerá a vida no Centro-Oeste .

We will mostly work together with diverse tasks:
    -preparing new soil
    -germinating, planting and watering seedlings
    -pruning and mulching
-harvesting, gathering and cooking our products

Skilled people in areas such as painting, photography, writing, building can give me ideas and do those activities as work

You need to be able-bodied: farmwork can sometimes be quite intense and demanding. But beginners are more than welcome. Mistakes make for good laughs! I surely know, since I've made plenty so far

You will work 24 hours a week MAX. You can do as you will with your free time!

As for food : we have a lot of meat, cheese, eggs and chicken (can you pluck one?), mandioca, veggies, berries, plantains, corn, squash. We can cook together sometimes, but I only eat at night. My soups are 10/10. If you're craving something specific from the market, we can go there (so you can buy it with your monies$$). Your spendings will probably be very low during the stay.
    -preparar novo solo
    -germinando, plantando e regando mudas
    -podando e preparando cobertura
-coletando, colhendo e cozinhando nossos produtos

There's a small house about 100m away for the volunteers. We usually spend most of the time around the bigger house though, since there's internet and a pool there. You can use the kitchen and laundry, of course.

    What else ...

Campo Grande is a "rural capital" of 900,000 inhabitants. You'll be able to get to know brazilian Mid-Western culture. Food is great! Not much touristy stuff to do there, but we can go to nearby sweet rivers in towns like Bonito, Bodoquena, Jardim, Rio Verde...
There are also parks and local markets, to which I'll be happy to take you for a walk

A cultura é a típica do Centro-Oeste. Bom churrasco.
