We are a public school in Chai Nat in Northern Thailand. We are looking for volunteers to help teach basic English to our 80 students from Kindergarten through 6th grade. You do not need to speak Thai. We are looking for English speakers to help our students to improve their English written and oral communication. Teaching experience is not necessary. You will be working side by side with monks and local teachers. This is a great opportunity for English speakers to learn about Thai culture and language, as well as Buddhism.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn Thai culture, Thai language, farming and practice Buddhism. Chai Nat is the gate way to Northern Thailand. The village is surrounded by beautiful greenery, including rice fields and fruit farms. You will enjoy various Thai cuisine provided by the hosts in the community. You will have opportunities to learn amazing Thailand history by visiting Sukhothai, the old capital of Thailand from the 13th Century, which is three hours away by bus. Ayutthaya Kingdom was found in 1351 is is also only one hour and a half away.
We need your help in teaching basic English conversation to our Thai students. We already have local teachers who teach them how to read and write English, but we are looking for native English speakers to interact with the students and help them practice their language skills. Our goal is to provide the opportunity for the students learn directly from native English speakers and at the same time learn foreign culture from volunteers.
For a single Workawayer, we provide a private room and private bathroom in a host family. For a family or a group of Workawayers, we provide a community guest house with one or two bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens. Host family house and private guest houses are within walking distance to the school. WiFi is available. We also provide free meals everyday.
Volunteers can take a bus to visit many fascinating historical landmarks nearby:

- Ayutthaya Kingdom, 1.5 hours by bus
