Olá!

My name is Miguel and I am Portuguese that grew-up in a small town in the center of Portugal. I was working in Bulgaria for almost 2 years for a financial institution where I had a great time and lived some awesome new experiences. Even though I enjoyed my time there a lot, I decided to quit my job and follow my lifelong dream of travelling the world as much as I can.

I have only travelled around Europe, so I am very eager to learn and experiencing vibrant new cultures. Interacting with people from all over the world when I travelled through Europe made me realize how much I want to explore other places. Workaway seems like a great way to have an amazing experience during my adventure.

Some of my favourite things to do revolve around travelling (of course :D), sports, nature, photography, meeting new people and sharing stories.

I am looking forward to start this adventure!!!

Most of the skills I have come from my profession which is related to analysis and problem-solving. I am not sure if they will come in handy while traveling but who knows right?

I have done some volunteering for different causes, for example cleaning up a beach, plant vegetables to help organization feed the most needed or restoring a playground of a kindergarten school.

I can help with language lessons if you are interested in learning English or Portuguese. I am learning Spanish at the moment. My friends have told me I am a good teacher, maybe it´s genetics since my parents are both teachers

My grandfather loves the life in the countryside and to grow his own food so he went back to his childhood house where he has a farm and I used to spend my summers there helping him with everyday tasks.

I consider myself a reasonable cooker so I can try to make some Portuguese food and bring a bit of Portugal to the table.

Overall I am very eager to learn new things and I believe this adventure will give me the opportunity to do that. I consider myself a fast-learner so when there is something I don´t know how to do I can get the hang of it very quickly.
