Description
My mother lives on a farm on the shores of the Rocha lagoon. At the moment we dedicate our time mainly to the garden, maintenance of the houses (one for guests and yours) and restoration of natural field after a deforestation of pines
Working in the place is mainly her, Maria Clara. I help her in digital aspects and I go around every so often.
In addition, a wide circle of people, family and friends, visit us and support us in different aspects.
Mi madre vive en una chacra a orillas de la laguna de Rocha. En estos momentos dedicamos nuestro tiempo principalmente a la huerta, mantenimiento de las casas (una para huéspedes y la suya) y restauración de campo natural después de una deforestación de pinos
Trabajando en el lugar esta principalmente ella, María Clara. Yo la ayudo en aspectos digitales y voy cada tanto por ahí.
Además, un círculo amplio de personas, familiares y amigos, nos visitan y apoyan en diferentes aspectos.

The farm is in a protected area with an abundant diversity of flora and fauna. It is our desire to create a wildlife refuge where we can create a respectful bond with the environment. We have a good exchange with the inhabitants of the lagoon, the fishing community, park rangers, university researchers, and environmental protection societies.
La chacra está en un área protegida de abundante diversidad de flora y fauna. Es nuestro deseo generar un refugio de de vida silvestre donde podamos generar un vínculo respetuoso con el medio ambiente. Tenemos un buen intercambio con los habitantes de la laguna, comunidad de pescadores, guardaparques, investigadores universitarios, y sociedades de protección medioambientales.

Accommodation
Accommodation will be in a private room within the house, with all meals included. The house may be shared with other volunteers and with us.
We have internet, although the quality is not the best.
The house is located next to the vegetable garden and just a few steps from the lagoon, in a peaceful natural setting.

In your free time, there are many things you can do, the farm itself is a beautiful place to contemplate, where you can also fish or go out to explore the protected landscape Laguna de Rocha
It is important to consider that access to the house is complicated, 5 km of difficult-to-pass path.
