Hi! I am Max (30) a Civil Engineer and Outdoor / Wilderness Guide. In the past, besides working and studying, I've travelled many different countries and continents mostly by hitchhiking, camping and spending a lot of time in the nature.
In 2023 I quit my job and gave up my apartment to travel the world for the next years with only the things I carry in my backpack. The plan is to hitchhike over land and seas without taking a plane.
After travelling through Europe to Spain and sailing around the Balearean Islands, I managed to sail over the Atlantic Ocean to the Carribean. In 2024 I finally arrived in Colombia and travelled all the way to Ushuaia in Tierra del Fuego. Since the beginning of 2025 I am travelling north again. On the way I experienced a lot of adventures and also worked in many different places and fields. From hostels, farms and gardening over construction sites to preparing and selling milanesa sandwiches I learned a lot.
While hitchhiking I always get so much help from the lovely people picking me up. In return, through Workaway I want to help out other people, experience foreign cultures, learn new skills and improve myself.

I am basically interested in everything, open minded to new people, new countries, new experiences and always seeking new adventures and challenges.

My goals for the world trip is to improve my outdoor guiding skills, learn new languages, learn how to sail, get new skills through Workaway and of course meet new people and make lots of friends.

¡Hola! Soy Max (30), ingeniero civil y guía de naturaleza. En el pasado, además de trabajar y estudiar, he viajado por muchos países y continentes, principalmente haciendo dedo, acampando y pasando mucho tiempo en la naturaleza.

En 2023 renuncié a mi trabajo y dejé mi apartamento para viajar por el mundo durante los próximos años, solo con lo que llevo en mi mochila. El plan es recorrer tierra y mar haciendo dedo, sin tomar aviones.

Después de viajar por Europa hasta España y navegar por las Islas Baleares, logré cruzar el Océano Atlántico en velero hasta el Caribe. En 2024 finalmente llegué a Colombia y viajé hasta Ushuaia, en Tierra del Fuego. Desde principios de 2025 estoy viajando nuevamente hacia el norte. En el camino viví muchas aventuras y también trabajé en diversos lugares y áreas. Desde hostales, granjas y jardinería hasta obras de construcción y preparando y vendiendo sándwiches de milanesa, aprendí muchísimo.

Mientras hago dedo, siempre recibo mucha ayuda de las personas amables que me levantan. A cambio, a través de Workaway, quiero ayudar a otras personas, conocer culturas diferentes, aprender nuevas habilidades y seguir creciendo personalmente.

Básicamente me interesa todo, soy una persona abierta a nuevas personas, nuevos países, nuevas experiencias y siempre estoy en busca de aventuras y desafíos.

Mis objetivos para este viaje por el mundo son mejorar mis habilidades como guía en la naturaleza, aprender nuevos idiomas, aprender a navegar, adquirir nuevas capacidades a través de Workaway y, por supuesto, conocer gente nueva y hacer muchos amigos.
