    Description

    Hola and Hello!

We are a holistic healing center and young eco-village based outside of Carmen de Viboral, Antioquia, Colombia. Our mission over the past decade has been to conserve land in the Amazon, be responsible stewards of the land we live on, and protect the traditions, elders, and sacred medicines that make so much healing possible for people from around the world.

Through wellness retreats, we are able to provide sacred plant medicine ceremonies, sweat lodges, wisdom talks, yoga, meditation, song circles and an opportunity to reconnect to Mother Earth to people from around the world. These ceremonies put individuals in touch with their inner light, their wisdom, and their intuition, so that they can overcome fears and live healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives.

We host volunteers outside of retreats, and when we have a healing ceremony with our community members, volunteers are invited to join. In addition, many of our volunteers also choose to stay with us as participants during our 10 day sacred medicine retreats that we have been running for the past 10 years. The retreat offerings are separate from the typical volunteer schedule and responsibilities, and have an additional cost associated with them. We reserve a certain number of spots on retreats for volunteers who are interested in that aspect of our offering.

    Important - Please Read!

We are currently inviting volunteers who can help us to take care of young children (2-6 years old) and to fulfill our vision of expanding the center to include a yoga pavilion, health consultancy, earth-based educational center for our children, and more beautiful and bountiful gardens. We also need help landscaping, building houses, and maintaining the road, which gives us access to the land.

The ideal volunteer is someone who doesn't mind spending time alone in the quiet of nature, wants to fix problems and make things more beautiful, and is a self-starter who can also take instruction when needed.

It's hard work living out here on this gorgeous piece of land, and we have a lot to do. If you are not a hard worker and you do not enjoy physical labor, this might not be the best fit for you. We have to be realistic about who we accept, and it's a bit sad having to turn away lovely people who just aren't the right fit right now.

You will be staying in a tent, offering your skills and labor, bathing (mostly) with cold water fresh from the mountain, talking with Colombians and foreigners, swimming in the river, and experiencing the sacred ceremonies that are offered as part of our service to humanity and to Mother Earth. Please let us know what your true skills and passions are so that we can move forward in the best way possible.

You are welcome to use any vegetables from our garden, where we grow tomatoes, beans, carrots, and some other organic veggies. However, you will need to bring food with you, as the garden is still small.

IMPORTANT: Given the spiritual work that takes place in the land, drugs - including cannabis - are not allowed.

Volunteers come for 2 week stays, and if it's a good fit, stay for another 2 weeks.

Thanks for reading this and for wanting to help us build something that is of benefit to the rest of the world.
