Description
Hello there!~
I'm Max and I have a spare room at my house for any volunteers looking for a stay in the Bermagui area.
Recently one of my housemates moved away to the city for work and I decided to make the space available for any travellers/volunteers instead of renting it out again.
It's a 3 bedroom house, with a big backyard, just a couple hundred meters from the beach. Super great spot!
I live here with one other person, he makes a full time living selling his paintings online (he works out of the garage/studio space).
I'm looking for someone who's keen to do about 10 hours a week for accommodation (food not included).
There's a few projects around the property I would love a hand with, these include;
- Oyster mushroom grow setup
- Maintaining/improving veggie garden beds and greenhouse
- Setup composting system
- Building basic furniture for the house/workshop
- Finishing campervan fitout (Toyota Liteace 1981)
- Finishing backyard workshop setup
- House cleaning/maintenance
- Building bike shed
- The list goes on...
Generally looking to host one person at a time, but I can host couples occasionally so feel free to get in touch.
It would be great if you have your own car for convenience, but I also have bicycles and theres an excellent track that goes from my place all the way along the coastline into town where the shops are. It generally takes 20-30mins each way.

---------About Myself--------
Max, 28 Male
I love picking up new hobbies and starting new businesses. Lately I've been doing silversmithing, and making jewelry using the sand casting and cuttlebone casting techniques. Otherwise I mostly just build/fix things, make videos, cook, read books and surf. I'm happy to share any skills with you that you're interested in, always keen to learn new skills too!
Currently I work 3-4 nights a week at the local brewery and will likely start selling my jewelry in coming months.
I've lived in my current house for about 5 years, but when I was younger (18-21) I travelled a lot overseas and even used Workaway and Helpx as a volunteer in South America. I don't travel too much now, these days I prefer to focus on learning new things and getting super healthy.Types of help and learning opportunities

If you like water, then this is the location for you! On one side of the house there's Camel Rock Beach and on the other side is Wallaga Lake. There are some secret spots right on the lake that are picture perfect at sunset.
The area also has plenty of beautiful walks and little mountains to climb.
Nearby is my hometown, Central Tilba, which is a beautiful little heritage village. I'm more than happy to show you around.
You can ride a bike (I have a couple) into town, it takes about 30mins. I also drive around very often, so there will be plenty of opportunities to explore the area.
Also I have some surfboards, a pottery wheel, a workshop, plenty of tools, and other things you might find fun/useful.A little more information
