Description
Hi,
Uncle Dave & Aunty Nikki.
We have a Geraldine Sheep, Beef & Deer Farm, 2 hours South of Christchurch,
20 minutes from the sea and the mountains.
On our farm we need help with environmental protection work as we fence off all our rivers and streams.
Planting native trees and installing culvets. Tree clearing, firewood cutting and bagging, weed control, fencing repairs and other general farm work etc.
Around the house - Cleaning windows, mowing lawns, repairing & painting fences.
But we also love to get off the farm enjoy the native bush, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and mountains, to show you the best places in our beautiful country while you are here. So we find it works best for you if we work a few full days hard out here , then we take a day or two off adventuring, touring, sightseeing,
bush walks, cycling trails, mountain treks.

or Skiing/Snowboarding(July/Aug)

We'll provide all your food, fruit, drinks etc. (free of charge) and promise we will look after you really well.
We can tell you great advice on the best (FREE) things to see and do in New Zealand and the best places you go.

We enjoyed having Akane stay for a short while with us.
Akane seemed to have a good grasp of English, was very willingly to help in many tasks. We grabbed weeds, cut and collected a tonne of firewood. She also helped with dishes, clearing and setting the table for meals.

Dave and Nikki are both extremly wonderfull and Kind people.
I had a great time both on the Farm and on the Roadtrip.

I so enjoy staying at Dave and Nikki's place. They helped me to improve my English. Everything was fun ! Even the work was fun, i cut a lot of tree with a chainsaw and ax, do quad and tractor. An adventure is never far! I do kayak, bike, climb, shooting, cycle trip etc..

Dave and Nikki were most hospitable. Their farm is beautiful and quiet with rolling meadows. It is truly an adventurous farmstay with kayaking, rafting, splitting firewood and general farmwork! The work is pretty interesting and a unique experience. Thank you for having me!!

We really enjoyed having Qing stay and can commend her to you.
She is young fit energetic & helpful.
We split lots of firewood, fixed fences, the farm water system and checked the animals.
Qing applied herself enthusiastically and helped where ever possible.

I had a really good time staying with Dave's & Nikki's family. They were welcoming and showed me their Kiwi lifestyle. We did some cool tours and working especially with the deer and bulls was very interesting. In the end Dave had lots of tips for me on hitchhiking, backpacking and some good hiking tracks. We had Tom come stay for a week and work on the farm and can commend him to you.
He was fit, strong, energetic & applied himself enthusiastically to any job we set for him.

We really enjoyed having Orsi come & stay.
She is a real breath of fresh air and a joy to have around.
She worked on the farm, cooked a few meals and really made herself useful.

Really enjoyed having Rebecca come stay (twice).

It was awesome fun having Sarita & Lena Stay from the Faroe Islands.
They worked hard around the farm and we learned so much about The Faroe Islands (which we knew nothing about) their culture, language and scenery.

We stayed at Dave and Nicki's for a week and enjoyed our time there. The work involved long days, up to 10 hours, but with plenty of food and long breaks. Our days were varied, including hearding the deer on the quad bike, de-licing deer, mending fences, cutting pine trees and painting a kitchen.
