Second yr visa option availble Volunteer Opportunity in the Noosa Hinterland 🌿
Looking for Nature-Loving Helpers to Join Us!
We’re a friendly, easygoing family living on a beautiful bushland property in the Noosa Hinterland (Verrierdale), just 90 minutes north of Brisbane on Queensland’s stunning East Coast.
We’re currently looking for volunteers who are passionate about the environment, love hands-on work, and want to contribute to something meaningful while enjoying peaceful, natural surroundings.
🌱 What We Need Help With:
There’s always something to do on the land! Some current and ongoing projects include:
Always cooking, housekeeping, and laundry plus some extra fun things:
Clearing broken and fallen trees (post-bushfire work)
General gardening + rebuilding the veggie garden
Creating a compost area + planting a tree forest 🌳
Light fencing and property maintenance
Light DIY support: oiling the deck, painting indoors/outdoors, light woodwork
Spring cleaning, sorting cupboards, and organising our home
Caring for our chickens and helping around with our two kids (10 & 14)
Support with IT, Music – flexible
Help with updating my Wix website, improving our social media or giving Mac computer lessons
We love matching people to tasks that bring them joy – whether you're a green thumb, a tech whiz, a tidy queen, or a bush adventurer, there's something for everyone.
🕰️ Volunteer Exchange Details:
We are currently offering:
🌟 3.5 hours per day in exchange for accommodation only (no meals)
This gives you more flexibility to prepare meals you enjoy and explore the area in your free time.
If you'd prefer the classic arrangement of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week in exchange for food and accommodation, let’s chat—this may still be an option for the right person.
✅ We can also sign off 88 days for your second-year visa (as we're in a bushfire-affected area).
🏡 About Our Home & Family:
We’re a nature-loving family of four:
Sharla (massage therapist, yoga teacher, art therapist)
Peter (builder + creative all-rounder)
Lilygrace (10) & Elitiger (14)
Plus our two dogs: Buddy & Ginger, and a few cheeky chickens!
We love the outdoors—boating, camping, beach days, exploring, cooking good food, and enjoying a simpler, slower lifestyle connected to the land.
🧘♀️ Who We’re Looking For:
Someone who is:
Happy to live simply and enjoy being immersed in nature (yes, that includes bushland, spiders, stars, and all!)
Friendly, flexible, responsible, and open to new experiences
Interested in sustainability, wellness, creativity, or conscious living
Keen to stay at least 10+ days (we typically offer 2-week stays to start with, with the option to extend if it’s a good fit)
🌎 Why Join Us?
Peaceful bushland setting to relax, recharge, and reconnect
Contribute to a meaningful lifestyle project and see your efforts make a difference
Plenty of free time to explore the Noosa Hinterland, beaches, rivers, and national parks
Opportunity to connect with local culture, wellness, creativity, and nature
Become part of a global community—we love hosting volunteers from all over the world!
📩 Message us if you're interested—we’d love to hear about your skills and availability.
We’re flexible with start dates, and open to short or longer stays.
With gratitude,
