Help me with renovation projects and around the farm in Longué-Jumelles, France

  Hi ! My name is Tom, i'm 26 and changing my job to deal with the familial farm (officially end of 2025 i'll work alone on it).
  At the same time i m renovating my house (5 minutes drive from the farm). This was my grandparent's old house. A typical house from the loire valley region, with many rooms and buildings to renovate !
  I moved in the house this year (2024) after 6 months of works and there is still a lot to do ... ! :p
  After being myself volunteer with workaway during trips in Canada and Central America it is such a great pleasure for me to host volunteers now !
  
  
  Bonjour, je m'appelle Tom, j'ai 26 ans et je suis en reconversion vers le métier d'agriculteur avec le projet de reprise de la ferme familiale prévu pour fin 2025.
  En parallèle, je rénove ma maison (située à 5 minutes de la ferme en voiture). C'est l'ancienne maison de mes grands-parents, une ancienne longère typique de la région, avec beaucoup de bâtiments et de différentes parties à rénover.
  J'ai emménagé cette année sur une petite partie après 6 mois de travaux et j'ai encore beaucoup à faire !
  Ayant moi-même été workawayer lors de voyages à l'étranger, c'est un réel plaisir d'offrir à mon tour un accueil chez moi.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  I sometimes have help from my friends and family on the project and it really helps me. Living alone in the daily life, having volunteers with me would bring a real help on the different works i have to do. Furthermore, a real moral help because together we are stronger ! I particularly appreciate people with a good energy who brings a nice atmosphere. I am a conciliatory person and i think i can bring you quite a few learnings about living a simple life in the countryside. I like to exchange about many topics... Firecamp and music is what i like !
  
  Je reçois de l'aide ponctuelle d'amis et de ma famille sur le projet et cela m'a énormément aidé. Vivant seul au quotidien, avoir des workawayers m'apporterait une aide non négligeable sur les différents chantiers à mener. En plus de ça, un soutien moral car ensemble on va plus loin. J'apprécie particulièrement les personnes avec une bonne énergie et qui apportent une bonne ambiance. Je suis quelqu'un d'assez conciliant et je pense pouvoir vous partager pas mal de choses concernant la vie à la campagne. J'aime échanger sur des sujets comme l'agriculture et papoter de tout et de rien. Possibilité de faire des feux de camp dans le jardin.

  Help

  The help i ask for is different according to the moment you would arrive and what you want to do or what you are confortable with ! there is always many things to do : finishes in the part of the house i live in to bigger job with the shed renovation, empty an old barn and build the new frame, build greenhouses at the farm, etc... If you are handyman that's a very good point but i don't require specific skills. Only that you would be motivated to help and workaway values ;)
  Sometimes i brew beer (30L equipments) as a hobby and for myself, if you are lucky or motivated in this activity we could brew or fill bottles together.
  The minimum time i ask for coming is a week. 5 days/week and 5hours/day.
  
  
  L'aide demandée varie en fonction des travaux du moment et de ce que vous aimez faire. Il y a toujours des choses à faire chez moi : des finitions dans la partie d'habitation à des plus gros travaux de maçonnerie, vider une grange, remonter un hangar, monter des serres sur la ferme, etc.... Si vous êtes bricoleur, c'est un très bon plus mais je ne demande pas de compétence particulière. Simplement que vous soyez motivé pour aider et par les valeurs de Workaway.
  Parfois je brasse de la bière en amateur, si vous avez de la chance cela peut coincider avec votre passage et je peux avoir besoin d'aide pour brasser ou mettre en bouteille.
  Je pense qu'une semaine est un minimum pour une bonne expérience. 5jours / semaine et 5h/jour.

  Accommodation

  80m2 in my house, kitchen, bathroom, living room.
  You would have your own room with a really nice sofa bed.
  
  It depends on what you eat or don't eat (i eat mostly everything including meat) but i don't mind having vegetarian volunteer, we can adapt menus ! In every case, i pay for the food. Volunteer has to participate in cooking and cleaning.
  
  Partie habitable de ma maison de 80m2, cuisine, salle à manger/salon et salle de bain.
  J'offre une chambre privée avec un canapé-lit.
  
  L'organisation reste à définir avec chacun selon les différents régimes alimentaires mais dans tous les cas je m'occupe de payer les courses pour les volontaires. Le principe est aussi de se répartir les tâches : cuisine et vaisselle entre nous.

  I provide wifi and wired connexion in the volunteer room. J'ai la fibre et une connexion ethernet à dispo dans la chambre d'accueil.

  No problem if they are nice ;) Je ne m'y oppose pas mais s'ils sont bien tenus uniquement.
