We have lots of dogs so allergy to dust or dog hair we are definitely not the place for you.

We cater for main meals only (please see below for more info)
We can cater for vegetarians depending on their specific diet. (please discuss)
We are unable at present to offer the use of a car but renting a car is pretty cheep round here from Drivy.

    Now the less boring stuff:

So about us. We are Benedicte and Harry and we have 2 children Quentin (9) and Temperance (7) and 2 dogs, Tilly and Ella. (Plus the wagtastic furkid's crew).

We are looking for some assistance with a mix of the jobs below based around the . *️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️ There are other little random jobs relating to the building and renovations, all pretty simple but too many to list.

English speaking is a must but your actual level is not an issue so long as you can communicate and French is great if you have it . There will be plenty of opportunities to practice your French and English if you want to as well

We are close to a local town within walking, lift or bicycle. Nearest train station is under 5 mins drive away with access to Toulouse and Tarbes and many other places.

We can offer some lifts to places and we can include you on day trips to the mountains you can go do your own thing if you want and meet us at the end of the day. We are unable to offer access to a car for your personal use.
We often take long stay workaways on day trips with me or my wife (never both because of the dogs) to water parks and theme parks: Aquabearn, Parcagen and Ncopark Lannemezan (google search is best it wont let me publish web links.

My Wife is French but speaks both English and French and my 2 children 9 and 7, both speak French and English (French is natural to them). My hobbies are dogs and computers, walking and reading. I also love to have a laugh and good discussions with workaways if they want to. My Wife loves dogs, reading and going to the mountain and crafts (she and her friend make decorations in glass jars), our children, walking and having a good conversation. We both love cooking and are very relaxed.

Very quiet and great at night time for looking at the stars or you can visit pic du midi which is a short drive away then a cable car ride to the top to the observatory where you can see for miles and miles and star gaze at nights.

If you would like any further information and to contact us please do so.

We will make your stay as nice as we possibly can, so anything you need please do ask us if its possible.

We cater for all meals 7 days a week with the family and do ask that workaways join us for the meals at lunch and dinner if they are at home as this is a cultural exchange.

Breakfast: Cereals or toast with butter, jam / marmalade or chocolate spread / powder
Lunch: Normally a cooked meal but rotates with evening meal depending on the day
Dinner: Normally a light meal, soup or Sandwiches / salad but can sometimes rotate with lunch instead

We do not cater for anything outside of these meals IE supper, alcohol and such like (we may at times offer a drink with a meal but beyond this is is for yourself to buy) Coffee and tea is on tap and there when people want it and we will put out light snacks / crisps for some evenings.

Our house is 100% a smoke free environment. People can smoke outside (my wife does have the occasional cigarette). While we do not mind smokers you would need to go to the side of the house away from the house to smoke including e cigarettes if they contain nicotine. Inside the house is 100% a smoke free zone due to our insurance for housing animals and a guarantee to my clients for a smoke free environment. If anyone who does smoke is found to be smoking inside the house we would immediately on the spot ask you to leave (I only add this as this has in the past been an issue on one occasion)

    The Dogs:

We have our own home from home, Pet sitting business where dogs are free to have fun in a pack running around all day or lazing round its up to them. Dogs do all live in our house so being very comfortable around gentle dogs is a must.

While you are welcome to spend time with the dogs in the garden and the house and do things like groom them by hand while stroking.

It is not part of the workaway required duties to work with the dogs, clean up after them, wash them, essentially the business side of things. You get the best part, playing with them, cuddling them and just having fun.

We look forward to speaking with you all very soon and welcoming you into our very friendly family with our kids and furkid's. No matter where you go though we hope you have a fantastic workaway experience wherever your paths take you. We have had a great time hosting some amazing and fantastic workaways over the past 18 months even having some decide to stay on and others come back for a second visit.

if you have any questions please do reach out and we will give you our whats-app / Facebook messenger details.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We do ask that if you are looking to come to stay with our family that you are able to socialise with us. Working and eating and spending the rest of the time in the bedroom upstairs is not what we are about and honestly we want this to be a cultural exchange and for it not to feel like all people do is work and nothing else.

They can learn French and / or English with my children and wife and can experience life in the area we live and get to see the sights and Pic du midi (if they are interested), learn about life in France and share experiences with us, can also talk about the business and how it runs and we are open to most discussions.

If there is anything in particular you would like to get from this experience please do ask us as we are open to suggestions from anyone staying with us.
