    Description

We began work at our small permaculture project here in Phuket Town in July 2016.
To date, we have completed our major earthworks and planted the first cycle of fruit trees. Our Nursery will be completed by mid September and we have already run a couple of successful workshops for Thai participants.

The initial goal of the project is simple: to provide clean, healthy food for our families and the surrounding community. We also hope that the project will develop into a model that will inspire local Thais and foreigners alike to create their own permaculture designs.

The project is still in the early phases but we are making quick progress so we would love to have people who have some experience in this field. If this is all new to you, we will be glad to give you knowledge and guidance in exchange for your energy.

At the moment, we are accepting volunteers for 2 weeks. We believe this is enough time to gain some knowledge and to contribute to the project.

Our tropical garden / permaculture expert / educator, Pee Yu , is a fountain of knowledge who has lectured in Permaculture design courses in Thailand and has been actively involved in this work for many years. Originally from Northeast Thailand, Pee Yu has farming in her blood and is passionate about transferring her knowledge of permaculture onto others. Pee Yu and her husband Gerry both speak English.

You will experience and see a more local side of life at our location on the outskirts of Phuket town. There are always things to do on this amazing island. You will be in constant contact with a Thai/foreign family and our two amazing local handymen, along with the local community. Learn the language, the Thai way, Buddhist culture - the choice is yours. Just bring good vibes and we are sure you will enjoy your stay.
