Description
We tend to keep very busy working on our farm and volunteering. Our farm has sheep, cows, horses, chickens, dogs and cats. We live 20 minutes from town and five minutes from a little lake that is quite pretty. We are located in central British Columbia and are involved in our local community so you would have a great opportunity to get to see and be a part of local culture.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We enjoy teaching all the diversified aspects of farming life in Canada, also we are very involved with a lot of activities that happen throughout the year in the local community and encourage our workaways to join us when we attend the events.
Help
Somebody with experience in equipment repair and maintenance would be great but not necessarily important. We hope to build some hay sheds sometime. House repair and maintenance are always something we could use some help doing. There are the daily chores looking after chickens, sheep, pets, milking cow(s), gardening and house work. We generally tend to work with you and sometimes will ask you to take care of everything when we need to go away. Of course we make sure you know the routine first. Some jobs, like haying, take most of our time but on occasion we do go to local events with everybody who wants to go. During April, May and June we have lots of animal care, gardening and field work so there are plenty of opportunities to experience and learn lots during this time.

We have an extra bedroom and we would share our meals. Most of our food has been grown and harvested from our farm like meat, vegetables, eggs and some dairy products.
What else ...
We tend to keep very busy working on our farm and volunteering. We live 20 minutes from town. We are located in central British Columbia and are involved in our local community so you would have a chance to get to see and be a part of local culture. There are many outdoor type adventures in our area and the rest of BC such as horseback riding, fishing, skiing, skating, wildlife sightings, shooting, and much more. We live less than an hour from Prince George which is a city with a international airport and much that a person would look for in a city.
