Hello :)
We are Madeleine (34), Felix (30), Ayla (4) and Emil (1). Madeleine is originally from The Netherlands, Felix from Austria. We enjoy being outdoors and creating beautiful things. Felix works as a carpenter and is passionate about creating with wood and Madeleine is into handmade fabrics/textiles and creating soaps and creams. We are drawn to the ocean where Felix goes out surfing and Madeleine and Ayla explore all natures beauty on the beach. In our area we love to go for hikes and have a dip in the river and lagoons. We are interested in farming and everything we can learn to live a more self-sufficient life. We live fully off-grid, fresh springwater from our water mine and we have solar energy!
The end of 2022 we bought a lovely plot of land in Aguiã, Arcos de Valdevez. We fell in love with this piece of land because of it's fertile soil, rich on water, surrounded by forest, located on a hill with a beautiful view. On this land of 1200m2 we like to create a peaceful haven. Apart from permaculture farming, maintaining an orchard and taking care of animals (We have a cat and we plan to have chickens), we have endless ideas and projects in mind and more ideas are very much welcome.
At the moment we are busy cleaning the land, dismantling structures, preparing beds of our permaculture garden and much more..
Helping hands are very welcome.

For your help we can offer the cabin for you to stay in and;
- 1 meal when working 3 hours a day x 5

There is very good Internet connection available in our area. We can offer WiFi around our house only. The WiFi doesn't reach until the cabin. For digital nomads we recommend to get a Portugese simcard with a prepaid unlimited Internet bundle before arrival. Ask us for more details.

They have a beautiful plot of land nestled on the side of a mountain, which means you get to wake up every morning to the sun rising over the valley. I loved taking walks on the old road near their home and enjoying the sunshine with a cup of tea from the workawayer’s cabin.
