We are a family run organic care farm on the beautiful Sharpham estate in South devon.
We manage the land for conservation and wildlife, and during the week adults with learning disabilities come to the farm for training and day care. We also host international trainees learning about conservation who stay in our accommodation barn.
We are very close to the diverse and lovely town of Totnes and are close to the moors and Coast.

Help in the house
During the summer we are looking for some home help. Enjoying the summer and life on the farm with our two boys. 4 & 2. They are outdoorsy boys and love to learn.
We also need help sorting out the site infrastructure such as stone laying, fencing, planting.
Depending on length of stay work might also need doing on the garden, practical farm activities or helping alongside our trainees and their programme.
It is a vibrant place, with lots of people to talk to. Learning English, formal training if needed. Spending time on a farm that is organic, managed for conservation. Charitable objectives and spending time with different groups of people. Beautiful area, close to sea and moors. Totnes is an alternative town with lots going on.
A single room in the bunkhouse or possibly yurt. Shared communal area and kitchen in the bunkhouse. Trainees from Europe will also be staying here, learning about conservation. We ask that you get involved in the shared cooking, communal evening meals and rotas to ensure smooth running and culture sharing/community.
Close to the moors and sea. Totnes a great diverse town.
