    Description

    US:
We are a small 3 acre hobby farm ten minutes drive to famous Burleigh Heads, Palm Beach and Currumbin beaches. We are a Mum, Michelle, living with her 7yo and 22yo son. The older daughter and her boyfriend (both 27) visit regularly and have a small house of their own in the backyard. We also have Michelles brother, Damo and the kids Dad, Andy who also lives on the property. We call ourselves the Tally Commune. We have horses, chickens and guinea pigs, as well as one cat, three dogs and another dog that visits regularly. We have a sometimes friendly parrot. There is a small shopping strip within a five minute walk, which has pizza, seafood and a corner store. We provide one double electric bike for transport. We live next to a 100 acre park with a playground and lakes, with close connections to other parks. Because we have free range guinea pigs and birds, we cannot accept travellers with pets.

    HOUSE AND ROOM
The house has lots of facilities available. This is a kid friendly family house. We have a a pool table, table tennis table, pool with waterslide, heated spa, basketball court and small soccer field. We would love to host families with children, we have a 7yo boy who is very friendly and sociable and loves to hang out with kids of all ages. There is one workaway room, which is quite small, it has a queen size bed and a desk. There is also a small bedroom that is used by my son during the day as a play/study room, that can take a mattress on the floor if more space is required

    THE WORK
We provide the room, bike and facilities in exchange for 2 hours of help per day each for couples, or three hours of work for a single, five days per week (Tuesday-Saturday). Weekends are Sunday and Monday. Food is not provided and you need to provide your own food.
The work is all gardening and outdoor work, occasionally there will be some spring cleaning jobs inside, but general cleaning is considered part of living in a house and is not part of the work.

    OTHER INFO
We try to keep a tidy house, we don't leave dishes in the kitchen, and the bathroom is cleaned after use.
Toilet paper/soap toiletries etc is also not supplied - you need to bring your own.
There is a small supermarket within walking distance and a large supermarket within a ten min bike ride. You will be sharing the house with the family and are expected to leave all communal areas clean and tidy and not leave your belongings lying around.

    Help

We would love 2-3 hours per day of work in exchange for accomodation and food. (Three for a single, two each for a couple, families with kids - One parent does 3 hours gardening per day, the other parent may be asked to do babysitting rather than gardening, depending on the period. Tasks required at the moment is all outdoors - gardening, weeding and planting.
Some Spanish conversation lessons would be nice also!!!
