Description
Hi, my name is Stacey and I’m a mum to two children and a driving drive out husband who is a miner. My daughter resides on the Gold Coast with a family who utilise and welcome work ways. I’m a busy director and clinician in my own company, delivering mental health and addiction services to the community. My son is almost 14 and attends a local Catholic school in year 8. We are a basketball and dancing, driven family and enjoy downtime at the beach. We have a dog named Buster, who is about 10 years old. We also have two boarders that stay with us for three nights a week currently

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Rockhampton and Central Queensland offer rich cultural exchange opportunities through their deep connection to both Indigenous Australian heritage and pioneering pastoral history. Visitors can engage with local Aboriginal culture through art galleries, cultural centers, and guided tours that share traditional stories and practices of the Darumbal people, while experiencing the region’s renowned rodeo culture at events like the Rocky Rodeo and visiting working cattle stations to understand contemporary Australian rural life. The area provides diverse activities including exploring the stunning Capricorn Caves with their cathedral-like chambers and acoustic concerts, visiting the Rockhampton Art Gallery and Cultural Precinct, taking river cruises along the Fitzroy River, experiencing the vibrant local music scene that blends country, rock, and Indigenous influences, and participating in agricultural shows and markets where you can interact with locals and sample regional produce. The cultural exchange is particularly enriched through the region’s reputation as Australia’s beef capital, where visitors can learn about sustainable farming practices, enjoy authentic bush tucker experiences, and engage with multigenerational farming families who embody the resilient spirit of outback Queensland, all while being welcomed into a community that values storytelling, mateship, and connection to the land.

Help
There are two types of help that we would like.
1. House sitter/pet sitter with some assistance with house duties whilst exploring our amazing sights. Duties will include washing the dog, feeding daily and walking Daily. Household duties, involve vacuuming floors, steaming floors and potentially chores like cleaning the fans and walls and bathrooms, etc..
2. Assistance with day-to-day running of the household. This isn’t a great deal, but we would like to welcome others into our home and to experience other cultures. Duties would include vacuuming and steaming floors, cleaning bathrooms, wiping down walls and fans, dusting, etc.
