    Description

Hello, I'm Boy, 30 years old. I've got a passion for being outdoors and building things with my hands, preferably out of wood!

Two years ago, I bought an old farmhouse that had been abandoned for over 20 years, surrounded by a large piece of land. Since then, I’ve been doing my best to restore it, a lot on my own, but also with a lot of help from friends and family. What drew me here is that this place aligns with the principles I find important: embracing the adventure of simplicity, living closer to nature, spending life outdoors, building in a circular way using materials from the land, living in harmony with the seasons, exploring my own land, and discovering new paths.

Slowly, more people have become a part of this journey, and a small community is starting to take shape. Together, we are finding a different approach to contribute to society while being connected to nature.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

First of all it should be a lot of fun, hopefully while learning from each other! The region is well known for it's foods, wines, beautiful nature and historical towns. So there should be something for everyone.

I think you'll be able to learn about permaculture, living simple and DIY/woodworking/building and l’m sure I’ll be able to learn something from you as well!

What is there to be done?

From half of June till at least the end of July, I really could use some hands in the garden and (young) food forest. I've got a big woodworking project that I'll be working on then and I won't have the time myself to also maintain the terrain.
This help will include: weeding, bush trimming, watering and everything that comes with a vegetable garden.

Also some general help around the house would be greatly appreciated :)

There's always tasks to be done on the terrain, so if you like being outdoors, getting your hands in the soil and/or are very handy please send me a message!

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

There's a campervan on the terrain that I'm slowly building into a Tiny House, this will be the accomodation for 1 or 2 persons.
In the campervan there's water (not potable), there's a gas stove to cook on, and it has 4 beds (would be very cramped for 4 adults). And last but not least you'll wake up with the sunrise and a beautiful view over the Monferrato hills!

In between the campervan and the house you'll find a composting toilet and shower facility.

The house is found on a 15 minute drive from the closest train station, I’ll be able to bring you there and pick you up.
Also you’re always welcome to tag along when I’m going somewhere :)

There's starlink present. The reach of the router is limited to the house, but hopefully soon it will be possible to work online also around the house.

    Space for parking camper vans

The terrain to get to the property is pretty steep, but the road is asphalt so it can be done even with a big campervan. We don't have beautiful spaces to park yet, but they can be parked on the road for now. There's no traffic since the road has collapsed right after our home.

Pets are welcome! There are 2 and sometimes 3 dogs here that are friendly to other dogs. Cats can be a problem :)
