Description
Island girl born and raised raising my baby and wanting to spruce up my nature filled property. My almost 2 acre property borders on 700 acres of walking trails, has big garden spaces, ponds, forest, and animals. Great neighbors and minutes walk through beautiful trails to community gardens, community center and village Centre. Super close to loads of amazing beaches as well!
My dream is to have nature retreats on my property, so I am working towards setting up my land for that. In 2024 I got a lot done with workawayers help and now have 2 campsites and a canvas wall tent Glamping site with composting toilets. Started building an area for a wood fire cob oven. And generally getting property looking awesome. Now in 2025 my goals are to manicure sites more, finish cob kitchen, have an epic garden and build a treehouse!
Ideally it would be amazing to find some workawayers that have carpentry skills to help with some building projects..especially the treehouse. Also, any labor skills or just eager and hard workers will be much appreciated in making this tranquil haven a reality!
In exchange I would love to show you around this beautiful island and share meals. There is lots to do in the nice weather months and I am always happy to include my workawayers in any fun activities I’m doing:)Types of help and learning opportunities

Small Bedroom, looking out into the tree tops. I love to cook so will be happy to cook and provide breakfast and dinner most days. Or possibly canvas wall tent with queen size bed in off season if I’m not air bnbing
What else ...
I am in bed early ( around 10 pm) and up early ( around 6-7) most days and do not drink or drug. But I have loads of fun playing sports and doing amazing stuff in nature and ‘partying’ sober. Also I have a baby boy. Some things I’ve noticed with my experiences so far I’d like to get more clear on upfront….i will provide food, and either you can help/prepare for yourself, or lots of the time, atleast one meal a day, I do love cooking ( it’s actually a vocation) and will enjoy cooking for you…when I cook, I do expect help cleaning up after dinner…the way I was raised if someone else does the cooking I do the cleaning. And obviously cleaning up after yourselves will be expected and not part of work hours.
I am very lenient on when you do the worktrade hrs most of the time. That seems to be confused sometimes with just do however much work you want. I’d still appreciate the trade of 5hrs/day and am super flexible with when you’d like to do it. I will often be going away for some of the days during workawayers being here. If I do I will leave food stocked and a list of tasks and you can have my little slice of heaven to yourself for a bit:)A little more information

We worked in the garden a lot, helping her with various tasks such as clearing a path, planting plants and seeds or cleaning the outdoor tubs, for example. She had a list of what she needed to be done so it was easy to know what to do and we could work whenever we wanted during the day, as… read more
