    Description

Welcome!! We are a registered non-profit that provides a residency program for gifted artists and creative/critical thinkers bringing cultural vibrancy to the high desert through performances, workshops and our drylands permaculture demonstration site that includes gardens, chickens, grey water system and many fruiting trees. Workawayers would only be helping with tasks related to these non-profit activities.

We are dedicated to the practice and teaching of drylands permaculture.

There is no limit to what volunteers can learn here. The community is rich with innovators who wish to make the very best of the environment. This project is very much a community effort; none of it could have been done without the help of those who believe in the mission. Eva has her Permaculture Design Certificate in addition to years of experience within the music/art/film industry. She invites people from around the world and gives them the opportunity to do their very best work in a mind blowing place, of magical pink sunsets, starry nights and the silence of the desert!

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Joshua Tree is a destination. One of the outstanding features is Joshua Tree National Park, that begins a short walk from the site. The park is approximately 800,000 acres of natural beauty with ample hiking, biking, and rock-climbing. Vistors are greeted by a warm (no pun intended) community who seek to amplify beauty and strength in all that they do. Downtown Joshua Tree, features art galleries/music venues, restaurants, a health food store, and thrift stores. There is a lively music scene of singer/songwriters. There is public transit that can get you down the main highway, but rides to specific locations will need to be arranged. If you are interested in what desert life is like, this is certainly a place to explore and be in the magic of the desert
