Description
Hello all,My name is Seamus and i live on the family farm situated on the lowlands of "The Burren"close to Kinvara village. The holding consists of 44 acres of mixed land.I have suckler cows a bull and my Collie sheepdog.I also grow a kitchen garden which is organic and i share with family and friends. No monies exchange hands.
My location is a very special place with "the Burren" at my doorstep and Connemara just 1 hour away.Galway city is just 30 minutes by car.I like to explore these places sometimes with like minded people.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I think that travelers will benefit greatly by stopping at my place as there are many things to do in this region.
We are steeped in culture and Heritage in these parts. There are many sessions of traditional Irish music locally and beyond.Story telling,Art and many cultural walks in The Burren for example. We,the people of Kinvara host a traditional sailing boat festival every year since 1979.The festival is called "Cruinniu Na mBad and that takes place in August. There is also a Traditional weekend in May called " The cuckoo Fleadh ".Help
Your help would be very much appreciated with the "organic kitchen garden".
Home help would consist of preparing meals, general house cleaning and maintenance.
I make lots of preserves in the kitchen and again share with family and friends.
I also cut "Reed" (chaume) for Thatching roofs.I thatch roofs as a pastime and for friends. No monies exchange hands
as this is a pastime where i get my food in exchange.
I look forward to your response.Languages spoken

This was my second workaway experience and I was very happy, that I had this one.
After the first experience I was not sure what to expect in Kinvara.
But as soon as I arrived I felt welcomed and very comfortable.
I hoped that I could get to know a bit of the Irish culture and I wanted to work and help.

She not alone had a great work ethic but expressed a wonderful interest in our Culture and Heritage.
It was a pity her time here was so short.
Katharina, you are welcome back anytime.Your friend Seamus.
