My experince at the Centre was simply amazing thank to Anita who teached me many important tools as meditation and mantras that helped me in my spiritual journey. I met many incredibly nice, kind and loving people during my stay, sharing experinces with them from the practice. I also had the opportunity to improove my English! Thank you!! ❤️

I stayed with Anita as a workawayer last of June and July. Anita is without question a lovely host. First of all, she has a friendly personality. As for the work, the work menu is extensive and their is choice so opportunity to develop your skills. I did a little bit of a lot of things, including but not limited to bookkeeping, weeding and help

Fernando arrived to our Biddhist centre at a busy time. He showed great enthusiasm and took to every task asked of him with determination. Fernando was eager to learn new skills. His background is in office work so painting and landscaping were new tasks. Fernando s mantra is "tell me" ie tell me how I can help you.
His motivation was always to

Fernando is very skilled technically. He was a tremendous help during a recent retreat and on an ongoing basis with email shots.
During our 4 day intensive retreat he really showed his value. He was team lead in catering and also took care of the technical aspects.
We wish Fernando all the best .
He will remain a friend to us all.
Staying with Anita at the Buddhist Centre in Banteer was an unforgettable experience! This was my first time as a Workaway volunteer, and although I’m not a Buddhist, I was welcomed with open arms and felt completely at ease from the moment I arrived. The serene atmosphere of the centre is incredibly peaceful, making it the perfect place to unwind

During my stay, I had the opportunity to help with a variety of tasks, including the creation of a new garden, housekeeping, cooking, and even painting. This was also my first time doing many of these tasks, but Anita provided clear guidance and support, ensuring that I felt confident and capable throughout. The painting project, in particular, was a new experience for me, and I loved being able to contribute creatively to the beautiful surroundings of the centre.
One of the most enriching aspects of my stay was the chance to meet so many wonderful people from around the world. I was incredibly fortunate to meet a Rimpoche and Khempo La, which was a unique and eye-opening experience. The conversations and teachings I was able to be a part of were extraordinary, offering a deep insight into Buddhist philosophy and practices.
In addition to the human connections, I absolutely loved spending time with Charlie, Anita's adorable dog. Charlie added so much joy to my stay, always providing a friendly companion during my breaks and making the experience even more heartwarming.
Beyond all the work and cultural exchange, Anita herself became someone very important in my life. Her kindness, wisdom, and genuine care she shows to everyone she meets left a lasting impact on me. I feel incredibly fortunate to have connected with her on such a deep level.
The accommodation was comfortable, and the communal meals were a highlight. Anita and the team prepare delicious vegetarian dishes, and I enjoyed learning some new cooking techniques.
Overall, my time at the Buddhist Centre was not just a volunteer experience but a journey of personal growth and cultural exchange. I highly recommend this Workaway opportunity to anyone, regardless of their religious background, who wants to connect with a warm and diverse community in a beautiful setting. Thank you, Anita, for this life-changing experience—I hope to return in the future!Feedback
